A couple things going on here: the boats are on the lift. Completely out of the water and covered up for last nights rain storm. The string lights were just put up and provide great light for covering boats after a late ski run. Everything was made/designed by us. See what you missed @OB1?!

A little smoke on the water from the Pioneer fire to the west, but beautiful night on lake Alturas last week. http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/sunvalleylaw/BoatBoating/867bd2e5-4110-479d-8b48-49fb7d26431d_zpsw9ixkvfc.jpg~original

@skibrain I remember those CVX's. And the Carlsons which I also loved. My family, as I said, had the 17.5 foot SSV with the open bow. In the bay I grew up skiing in mostly, there were low slung Tahiti's and the like too. Little boats with big old outboards on the back. Guys skiing with step starts off the sand spit, laying down and throwing up spray. LOL! Lots and lots of sparkle and gold flake in those days.

Gotta say, my new to me Malibu (pictured above with my daughter) is a nicer ski boat ;)
