Kneeboard Slalom?

I noticed in the recent issue of the Waterskier that kneeboarding still exists. One of the events was slalom. Do they use the same course we do , or is it different. Just curious.

Same course, different max speeds. M1-32/OM is 24MPH would be the fastest you would see.

The current President is a fellow GA skier, I think he and his son are National record holders and National champions. Trick is also an event, Jump no longer is. Overall is calculated from Slalom and Trick.

Let's get off of knee boarding. Here is a segue to hopefully get back on track. Exciting, yet better on the knees and back but not the head.....he is already insane!

Back in high school (young and dumb days), me and my buddy figured out how to get him to do a complete 360 circle around the boat on a kneeboard and to continue going. I was the smart one and drove the boat while he was on the board. Took some planning for a specific boat route and he was FLYING on that kneeboard!

 

Ok, I'm done. Back to skiing.

The O'Brien Lowrider.. Best kneeboard of all time. Light weight. It does not hurt when you crash. Unfortunately no more Pro Acqua bindings.. Cinch makes the equivalent now.

I have tried kneeboard slalom a couple of times. I let go with my inside hand around the turn. It helps you get a better lean coming off the ball. Crossing the wakes can be done without getting too much air. Similar technique to a slalom ski..

If I were doing kneeboard competition I would use my old Kidder Redline Phantom for slalom, and the O'Brien Lowrider for tricks..
