Baller Spuddy Posted October 15, 2013 Baller Posted October 15, 2013 Here is a pic of my 97 Nautique after we put it away this past weekend. Being up north this is always a bitter sweet time of year, thankful that I am able to take part in such a great sport every summer but it is always difficult to put the boat away for the winter. Not sure if anyone else feels this sentimental about this stuff or maybe it's just me!
Baller GOODESkier Posted October 16, 2013 Baller Posted October 16, 2013 Spent the last 10 days in S. California skiing my heart out and posting practice scores in the deep 38 all week. Came home to the COLD, HARD, FAST WATER........ We in the North are at a GREAT DISADVANTAGE when it comes to skiing and getting sets in all year. Oh well, same here, it is all coming to an end.
Baller 6balls Posted October 16, 2013 Baller Posted October 16, 2013 Same. Skied Sunday, changed oil, winterized and put away. Been 45 degrees, rainy, windy since...on our way toward winter.
Baller Spuddy Posted October 16, 2013 Author Baller Posted October 16, 2013 The weather here has not been that bad which made it even more difficult to pack things in but have made the mistake of leaving the boat too late and this time of year the weather can change overnight.
Baller Razorskier1 Posted October 16, 2013 Baller Posted October 16, 2013 Skied this morning. Two 28s and eighteen 32s in a 10mph head-tail with air temp of 42. Still having fun for another few weeks!
Baller makeall6 Posted October 16, 2013 Baller Posted October 16, 2013 Just pulled the course. We always play "Boys of Summer" as we load the boat on the trailer for the last time.
Baller tfriess Posted October 17, 2013 Baller Posted October 17, 2013 Its hard to have your baby stay at another mans place all winter..Just glad I replaced the impeller. It was looking rather rough!
JMLVMI Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 @OB I'm going to stay at that Hotel the next time I have business in Atlanta so I can stop by and maybe beg for a couple of passes before work :-)
Baller schafer Posted October 18, 2013 Baller Posted October 18, 2013 we are still skiing in alberta, although our days are numbered, a few days ago water was 43 and the air when we skied was 40. but skied to a new PB(but its practice so it doesnt count) although its hard to find a tournament in october in alberta so ill stick with my drysuit, toque, numb fingers PB. hoping for a couple more weeks before the ice stops us
Baller Razorskier1 Posted October 18, 2013 Baller Posted October 18, 2013 The weather forecast here keeps looking bad, so I keep skiing. Have to admit the last three days have worn me down some. 20 pass set on Wednesday morning, 16 passes that evening cuz the Thursday forecast was bad. Wrong! 16 passes Thursday morning. Thursday evening the Friday forecast was bad, so better ski. 16 more passes. Friday morning I get up and its calm and 40 degrees out. Forecast for the weekend looks terrible -- better ski. 14 passes. Even I'm getting tired!
Baller Skoot1123 Posted October 18, 2013 Baller Posted October 18, 2013 Jim - that amount of skiing puts us all to shame!!
Baller Spuddy Posted October 18, 2013 Author Baller Posted October 18, 2013 Those are impressive numbers!
Baller ral Posted October 19, 2013 Baller Posted October 19, 2013 Well, season would be great here if I could ski. Water and air are perfect, plenty of pre-Worlds tournaments, but will have to stay out of the water until December...
Baller GAJ0004 Posted October 19, 2013 Baller Posted October 19, 2013 Sinking the course this weekend, and putting the boat away next weekend.. Back in the gym in November.
