Hi guys, first post. A little about me - I've been skiing since a kid but only got out a few times a year over the last 30 years on parents boat due to distance/time. Parents had outboard boats in the 115-125 hp range. Last year got my own outboard boat and have been hitting the water every week for the past 2 years. This year I installed a ski pylon on my boat and learned how get up on slalom and am enjoying it a ton. Not sure what took me so long to switch. First ski I picked up was a used 68" Obrien world team -didn't love it. Then got a 2012 Connelly Shortline 67" (cheaper version of the Outlaw) and like that a lot. I don't ski the course yet, just lake skiing right now.

Just last week someone gave me this Connelly Signature Series ski - I can't find anything about them online. All I can find is that the 1991 and 1992 Shortline 2 ski looks pretty close based on colors and tail. My ski said demo on it and I pealed that off but it has no other names or sizes. I think it might have had something on the fin cover but that is missing. The bottom has slight double concave to it but tunnel is not edge to edge like more aggressive skis. It measures 67.5 if I measure the bottom curve. not sure if that means 67 or 68.

here is all I could find online:

attached are some pics of the ski

Can't test now b/c I put my boat away last weekend - it's in the 40's up north here already - bummer !

thanks guys for the replys... seems like a nice ski and doesn't seem like it was used much, if any - would shortline 2 be intermediate or advanced ski back then ?

I think i figured out the size - the case it was in is the matching connelly bag and it says 67" on the label inside (missed that) Hope it will ski a big guy like me. My goal weight is 200 next summer.

I hear ya on the size - the 68" obrien i had seemed too small unless I was at 32 mph - this ski looks a hair wider than the obrien but also hair shorter - might be a wash - but I'm hoping losing some weight will help.

darn shame this older ski isn't a 69" - that would have been sweet.

PS - how do I get the forum to email me when there are posts? - i haven't found that setting yet.

Might I recommend something like this vs what you were given. While the price was right for your Connelly, in the long run it may cost you a lot of fun.

Would also suggest visiting Ski it Again and clicking "length" under Slalom and checking what is avialable

thanks for the link. I do plan on getting a higher end ski in 2015.... for next season I'm going to just practice getting good on my new 2012 Shortline.

This old free 90's ski is just something that intrigued me b/c i didn't know what it was exactly - I'll probably give it a go once or twice next year - if too small I'll either give it to my son or sell it i suppose.
