Baller A_B Posted September 3, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2014 The D3 post said 15.5. Who says you can't run 28 off at 28mph?

Baller SkiJay Posted September 3, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2014 That's the longest deep water start I've ever seen!
Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted September 3, 2014 Supporting Member Share Posted September 3, 2014 That is amazing in so many ways. Recovering the OTF into 5 seems so clearly impossible that if I didn't know who this was my first guess would be the video was cleverly edited! Baller SkiKolb Posted September 3, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2014 I took the slow skiing challenge from @ScarletArrow last week. So after my normal set, I went back to 28 off and had him slow the boat to 23mph, it was tough, but I ran it, (@ob I may have ran 6 ball over but I gave myself the full pass!) so then we slowed it to 21mph ran it (again no judges in place) eyes closed 1/2 the time, so tried 19 and got 2 before going otf! Wondering what others skiers can do at slow speeds?
Baller_ MISkier Posted September 3, 2014 Baller_ Share Posted September 3, 2014 We had the "How Slow Can You Go" competition after a tournament a couple years ago. We selected 22 off as the length and started at 32 mph. After each pass, we slowed the boat by each pre-set decrement until a miss. The winner got into that 15 mph setting. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller ski6jones Posted September 3, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2014 I was not clear with the boat driver about my starting pass in a tournament once and got 28 mph, 28 off. Ran that, then went 34 mph, 32 off for the quadruple opt up. 28 mph wasn't so hard, but I'm sure it would get exponentially harder with each decrease in speed. Having the rope a bit shorter helped. walleye
Every pass feels slow behind Pat Shull he is soft as butter :) and so is that new MC, has me rethinking going to ZO when MC is pulling like PP. Nate did run 5@ 43 34 mph when a comment was made it was easier to run 41 @ 36.
