Baller A_B Posted September 10, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 10, 2014 The forecast calls for us dropping temps and rain over next ten days. Water will likely drop to 60 or so next time we hit it. Tonight was just glass and mid-70's. Doesn't get any better from here.
mopowpow
The forecast isn't looking too good in Iowa either. Lows in the 30s aren't too good for water temps...
Tbub
Great pic @AB We got out the last two nights. I have a bad feeling they could have been the last.

Baller_ MISkier Posted September 10, 2014 Baller_ Share Posted September 10, 2014 It was really nice here last night here, too. Warm and calm. Took 3 sets and was really happy with the results. Even squeaked out a 36 mph pass for the last run back to the dock. I do believe that we won't get too many more like that yet this year. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears. Baller LakeOneSkier Posted September 10, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 10, 2014 Based on the south Chicago forecast for the next week I may be breaking out the dry suit this weekend. Last weekend was perfect, skied my butt off knowing the season is soon coming to a close. Set a season PB on Saturday and backed it up Sunday.
Members dthate
We have a arctic cold snap headed to Austin / SMRR this weekend also, high of 76 Saturday and only in the upper 80's to low 90's the following week, but its a trade for a little rain that we need. 76 for a high in September that's a first. Baller Razorskier1 Posted September 10, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 10, 2014 We skied on glass yesterday morning. Cold the rest of the week and windy. When the wind dies we ski!
Baller_ The_MS Posted September 10, 2014 Baller_ Share Posted September 10, 2014 Awesome night to ski last night, probably like the last day without hot tops for the season. lows in the 40s overnight for a few days but we should see some mid 70s next week. 3 years ago we had some great skiing in Oct up here so I hope we can squeeze some good skiing in before Nov. Baller thager Posted September 10, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 10, 2014 I could ski now if I had a driver.

Baller xrated Posted September 11, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 11, 2014 Lake looks calm right now in the dark! Hopefully ski one or two more times. How is it a guy finally moves to the lake and I have managed to ski just one time, and like crap I skied?

Baller XR6Hurricane Posted September 13, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 13, 2014 I think we're probably done here in northern Illinois. Low last night was already in the upper 30s and all this week it won't get out of the 60s during the day with lows in the 40s every night. Next weekend says mid 70s for highs but with some wind and possible rain. Been raining like crazy for this late in the year, cutting the lawn twice a week still. Years back when we had longer falls you could ski into October pretty comfortably with a wet suit but anything after September 15th the past few years has been pointless. Already jacked the motor up 1/4" and changed props. Time to make some speed runs and enjoy the fall colors on the motorcycle.
bogboy
Switched from shorty to longy for a while in the PAC. N.w. Then the baggy over my cozy onezy.
Baller Andre Posted September 13, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 13, 2014 Water still 68 but air was 39 this morning.Went in with boardshorts and neoprene top. My balls are still frozen...but i skied good! My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance!
Baller 6balls Posted September 13, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 13, 2014 @ms will do. If we don't have a big crowd I won't cook 'em all and we can do some for lunch or something as well. Trying to decide whether or not to pull my boat this weekend. May do it and then I will only have dock and lift to worry about moving forward. Hate this time of year even though I couldn't ski...our lake looks so much cooler with my dock and boat out there.
Baller_ The_MS Posted September 13, 2014 Baller_ Share Posted September 13, 2014 @6balls looks like nice weather next week. Lows only down to 50s with 70s for highs. Hopefully get in good sets the week before we head down. Looks like a large S Canadian contingent heading down to warm up.
Baller Chef23 Posted September 13, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 13, 2014 I am thinking about pulling my boat also. My sons hockey has started so weekends are busy and my body betrayed me this year so I have barely skied and am currently on the shelf. We do usually have about a month left in the season though. Baller 6balls Posted September 13, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 13, 2014 @ms will maybe leave the boat one more week, then. What I may do is pull the centurion and clean her up nice, put her away and put the nautique on the lift for a week so I can say she got used this year. See you in FL. Baller oldjeep Posted September 18, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 18, 2014 Looks like we'll get a few more good ones this year. Today was beautiful - my skiing was not good, but it was nice out. Got to watch a couple really good skiers while we were waiting though. Get another shot at it tomorrow. http://oldjeep.com/images/vlcsnap-2014-09-17-19h12m52s52.jpg http://oldjeep.com/images/vlcsnap-2014-09-17-19h09m32s97.jpg http://oldjeep.com/images/vlcsnap-2014-09-17-19h09m04s4.jpg

Baller Razorskier1 Posted September 23, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 23, 2014 @MS -- you are way tougher than me! Either that or you don't ski at 6:30AM -- I've been in the drysuit every morning, and glad I had it!

Baller_ MISkier Posted September 24, 2014 Baller_ Share Posted September 24, 2014 We'll have a good week here. Sunny, low winds, mid 70s all week and into next week. Skied last night, will probably ski tomorrow, tournament on Saturday, and plans to ski on Sunday also. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
