Shipping ski to Orlando hotel

Hey Ballers, I'm headed down to Orlando in a few weeks and wanted to have a ski shipped. Has anyone every had a ski shipped to either their hotel or a mailbox etc type store? Any recommendations in the Orlando area?

I would ship to the ski site I was headed to.

Call the hotel and ask them. Probably cost about the same to ship ski or pay airline.

Airlines want way more to ship. Almost double. Way less using US Postal service and snail mail it. For a few dollars more you can even insure and track it.

I've always shipped mine to FedEx store close to where I was staying and shipped back home from the same store.

Skis go free on JetBlue and at standard baggage rates on Delta as long as the bag is under 50 pounds.

If you have a shipping store located at an airport you can almost bet it will go airmail even if you pay for ground transport. Coordinate and ship to the school.

I am now trying to fly Southwest with skis. 3 event bag and sport tube to Orlando for O35 worlds both under 50lbs no extra charge. Tipped curbside agent $40 bucks. I have never been charged extra (normal bag fees) for a slalom ski by any airline as long as it is under 50lbs. Delta has been good also with 3evt bags.

thanks guys. I generally take my skis on the plane in my sportube, but decided to buy a ski online from the US (I'm in Canada) so instead of shipping it home, why not ship it to Otown?

 

I called the hotel I'm staying at and they immediately got back to me that they charge $5 to receive any size package (within reason), but don't want it there more than 3 days before arrival. Works for me!
