SpartanSki
I just picked up a 2014 RLX and the fuel gauge won't go much past 1/4. I'm used to the bu gauges where they weren't the most accurate, on my old sportster I could run the gauge to empty and then it would still have about 8 gallons left in it. But this is a bit excessive. My first run I thought the wake was a bit bigger than when I test skied it, now I know I had a full tank of gas. Is there an easy way to adjust the sender without pulling the tank? Thanks b
Baller Doug Posted June 23, 2015 Baller Share Posted June 23, 2015 There is no adjustment on those sending units unplug and replace
03lightning
Should be 5 bolts to remove and replace with new one. On some senders you have to fill the tank then let it go below 1/2 tank for the new sender to calibrate and you should be good to go.
Baller Lieutenant Dan Posted June 25, 2015 Baller Share Posted June 25, 2015 @SpartanSki There used to be a "do-it-yourself" post on themalibucrew.com for replacing the fuel sender. I did it in my Sunsetter LXI a number of years back. Much more accurate than from the factory
