Slimey swim platform

I have a '98 Moomba Boomerang that has a sponge rubber coating on the platform. The boat is always in the water and the platform is so slippery from algae that someone is going to get hurt. Any tips on cleaning this off and possibly keeping it off?

Thanks.

SeaDek looks great though, and oh so soft on the old arthritic knees..

I had a good experience using their template kit and all sections of the platform, gunnel step pads, and glove box came in great.

I only used wax once after foolishly oiling my teak swim step. Kind of solved the slipping problem. Didn't get too much on the ski. Did keep me from slipping and breaking toes. Never oiled my step again.

Helped a bit more with slippery foot in the toe harness problem (that teak oil was bad for that). Now I use it regularly in my toe harness to help keep it on.

Also it is good glove sticky after I rub it on the handle.
