Just wondering if anyone has a favorite brace to reduce the risk of knee injury in jumping? Just hurt my knee a couple weeks ago jumping and looking to get braces for my oldest son (13 yo). As for me, I'm retiring from jump.

@horton I pretty much agree with you. My son was coming back from a growth plate issue and it made him feel better. I am not sold that it made a big difference but I figured it couldn't hurt. He was fully cleared by his orthopod to go back to jumping.

I just switched to using this brace: dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11584725&cp=4406646.4413887.4414020.22937756&categoryId=4414374. I'm not necessarily looking for a brace that prevents injury (nothing is 100% injury proof), but a brace that provides the most support under pressure. So far, I'm pleased with this one as it has a much more secure fit after it gets wet, compared to my previous brace (academy.com/shop/pdp/mcdavid-adults-ps-ii-hinged-knee-brace?repChildCatid=34004).
