Baller Ski_Dad Posted October 21, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 21, 2015 I'm looking at a new 2013 and also a new 2015 - they look the same but I wondered if there were actually the same ski... 2013 says .8 wider than a Strada - the newer model says wider than a Vapor. Baller_ Wish Posted October 22, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted October 22, 2015 Well, the Strada and Vapor or basically 2 different skis but guessing if you are looking at them in a P6, either would be fine. Most likely that choice can be made by the cost factor if they are both the correct size for you. Really can't go wrong with either.
Baller ejj Posted October 23, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 23, 2015 Same ski. Now discontinued.
Baller Ski_Dad Posted October 23, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted October 23, 2015 Thanks guys, i contacted Mr. Roberts and he said that as well - they are the same  So as soon as I have enough stashed away I'll be picking up a P6. Missing the water already up in Ohio - can't wait for Spring
Baller oldjeep Posted October 23, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 23, 2015 I'll add my standard recommendation to check wakehouse.com for p6 closeouts. Paid about $120 for the blank we bought. Looks like we will be done for the year in MN either Sunday or next weekend, then just 6 weeks until the other ski season.
Baller perfski Posted October 25, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 25, 2015 No...no changes....it has been discountinued..replaced by the new Radar Butter Knife. It came from a ski that Matt Rini and Herb had started working on over 5 years ago...and Matt, Sully, Brooks and the crew started taking the concepts of the design and it worked so well it became their new ski...and even in a slightly narrower version also replacing the Theory is the Katana. Hard to think they could replace the P6 as its been a fantastic ski...but the Butter Knife lives up to all the hype: http://www.perfski.com/index.php/radar-2016-butter-knife44.html Also have closeout P6's too: http://www.perfski.com/index.php/catalogsearch/result/?q=P-
Baller Chef23 Posted October 26, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 26, 2015 That Butter Knife looks like a wider version of one of @eleeski creations.
Baller Ski_Dad Posted October 26, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted October 26, 2015 I'm not sure I Iike the colors on that 2016 Butter Knife ski - seems a little odd. But maybe it looks better in person. Now the Katana is sharp !!
