Baller gregy Posted October 24, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2015 @jetpilotg4 Yes you can. But $$ depends on what engine you have in it now.
Baller jetpilotg4 Posted October 24, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted October 24, 2015 Mechanical throttle
Baller LeonL Posted October 24, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2015 What engine? If Chevy it's doable with $$. If GT-40 engine swap required.
Baller gregy Posted October 25, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 25, 2015 You need the GM Excalibur engine. If you have that change out the engine cpu and wiring harness then install ZO. You also need a throttle by wire unit. There's a kit available that has everything I think it's in the $4.5k ballpark. If you have to change engines your probably looking at 12 to 15k. But you could recoup some of that by selling your present engine.
Baller thager Posted October 25, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 25, 2015 @gregy You do not need to change out the mechanical throttle!!! The mechanical throttle attaches to a throttle position potentiometer which tells the computer the throttle position. It is a part of the ZO kit. Baller Fast351 Posted October 26, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 26, 2015 2004 would automatically be a 330, not a GT40 (crossover year for those engines is 2002, half have GT40s, the other half have Excalibur 330s)
Baller jetpilotg4 Posted October 26, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted October 26, 2015 Ouch !!!! BTW it's the Excalibur
