Baller dbski Posted November 5, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 5, 2015 @TWB and I just got done with the last set of the season and what a way to wrap up the season. 76 degrees, not a cloud in the sky and light wind on Nov 4 in Michigan! Wow and this was the third day like this, plus we both skied well. Sure made it a lot easier to pull the balls, sink the course and finally winterize the boat. Time to tune up the snow skis and get the ice boats ready.
Baller jcamp Posted November 5, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 5, 2015 Man, if I would have just stuck it out through a few 20-degree nights I could have kept going for weeks!
Baller dbski Posted November 5, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted November 5, 2015 @skibrain, that's not far from the truth, but that 2% you're out there is pretty amazing. 65mph laying on your back 4" above the ice with minimal control is quite the rush. Baller Lars Posted November 5, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 5, 2015 @skibrain December 1st is impressive! Had my last ski on Sunday. Would have perhaps kept the boat in another week but it gets dark so early I'd be hard pressed to get out during the week.
Baller LZywicki1 Posted November 5, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 5, 2015 @TWB & @dbski Did the exact same thing here too. After three straight days of skiing in November I need a good month to recover and get ready for the Polar Bear Ski in December. crashman
Took a final rip for the season in Indiana too. Pulled the course, changed the oil, drained the block. It felt odd to be sweating while draining the block- usually I'm freezing my butt off while performing the task!
ahopkinsTXi
I am jealous! I winterized the boat last weekend knowing what the forecast was going to be this week. Our dealer is taking care of a few things for us and we didn't want to push it too late into November because we store up north. I didn't feel like trailing to storage with snow on the ground. Plus with day light savings ending last weekend it makes it virtually impossible to get home with enough time to ski before its completely dark. We did end on a beautiful day last week though. I can't complain! Oh well count down is on until 2016!
