Eden Ski Lake

I had the opportunity to visit Eden Ski Lake last week and came away really impressed. It is already a first class site with club house construction to be completed in 2017. Arthur Havas who studied under Chet, gave me some great pointers on my 2 sets during the afternoon session on the day before Thanksgiving. If you're on the West Coast of Florida near Fort Myers, you need to put this on your list of places to visit. The rates per set were very competitive and the hospitality super! www.edenskilake.com

Just about a year ago, I went there with Lucky Lowe to do the finishing touches on the main

slalom course, with a survey/adjust. This is an upscale operation, compared to the camp-

like situation at some ski schools. They may not have a jump ramp there yet.

 

On Florida's west side, Ft. Myers is a bit out of the way. One distinction Back When is that Joe

Cash set a jump record of 142' in a Ft. Myers tournament in early 1959, at another site, of course.

That distance was later matched by Mike Osborn at the 1959 Nationals.

Thanks for the review @OldGuysRule - my parents spend the winter on Sanibel so this is a possibility for me. How's the wind protection there?
