Baller UWSkier Posted September 4, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2016 I'm a silicon valley pro. Been fighting the good fight to stay out of the tax hell that is CA but it's likely going to have to happen at some point. Are there any decent lakes or clubs within reasonable driving distance of the eastern communities like Danville or Dublin? Or should I be looking south, like Gilroy? Baller TallSkinnyGuy Posted September 4, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2016 Aren't there a couple clubs that have courses on the Delta?
Baller keithh2oskier Posted September 4, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2016 You have Berkley waterski club and Diablo on the delta. Santa Clara water ski club in south San Jose.

Baller BCM Posted September 4, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2016 I know a few folks in that area who ski at Jovia's Pond in Dixon. I've heard of some sites near Patterson as well. Google tells me Dixon and Patterson are within an hour, but traffic could change things a bit...

Baller UWSkier Posted September 4, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted September 4, 2016 Thanks for the suggestions. Dixon and Patterson are a bit of a trek for weekday skiing. Looks like the Santa Clara club might be it.
Baller bishop8950 Posted September 4, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2016 The Bay Area is great for weather and jobs. Tough for cost, traffic, and available waterskiing. There are some options though. The Pond is a great group and club when there is water and the wind cooperates. I can connect you there. The Aquatic Park is healthy as well. Check with @"Mateo Vargas" There is a group at the San Mateo lagoon but I have lost touch with them. I can introduce though. Delta clubs are healthy, Mateo can help you there too No ski club at Patterson, shareholders and guests only No ski club at Diablo shores in Brentwood Next nearest options are towards Sacramento
Baller Mateo_Vargas Posted September 5, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 5, 2016 One more would be Eagal Lakes out near Tracy. Dublin is good central spot for access to skiing. 7 courses all within a 45 minute drive (no traffic).
Baller dave2ball Posted September 5, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 5, 2016 @"Mateo Vargas" don't lie to the poor guy. It's the Bay Area. THERE IS ALWAYS TRAFFIC.
Baller UWSkier Posted September 6, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted September 6, 2016 Oh, I spend at least one week per month out there. Know all about the traffic! :)
