Baller OldboyII Posted September 4, 2016 Baller Report Posted September 4, 2016 You never know who is imprisoned under boring factory painting. Just wash it away and set him free...

Baller TallSkinnyGuy Posted September 4, 2016 Baller Report Posted September 4, 2016 @6balls needs that ski to keep him safe in his swamp. Swamp thread link
Baller ThePantsManCan Posted September 5, 2016 Baller Report Posted September 5, 2016 What's the story behind this???
Baller OldboyII Posted September 5, 2016 Author Baller Report Posted September 5, 2016 @ThePantsManCan it is a drama, but Horton calls this place - "No Drama Zone" :)
Baller oldjeep Posted September 5, 2016 Baller Report Posted September 5, 2016 Is that a wrap, or air brushed? I'd actually pay.money for something like that.
Baller OldboyII Posted September 5, 2016 Author Baller Report Posted September 5, 2016 Air brush. It gives virtually unlimited space for fantasy.
Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted September 5, 2016 Gold Member Report Posted September 5, 2016 That is really remarkable. Thanks for sharing!
Baller OldboyII Posted September 6, 2016 Author Baller Report Posted September 6, 2016 Thank you! Eventually, skiing for most of us is to make a difference from our routine life, why not to take it little less seriously )) Ski is still in the oven for hardening last layers of varnish. Can't wait to see final result.
Baller oldjeep Posted September 6, 2016 Baller Report Posted September 6, 2016 You can stick a modern ski in an oven? What kind of temps are we talking about, given that a lot of the guys here wont leave a ski out in the sun?
Baller OldboyII Posted September 6, 2016 Author Baller Report Posted September 6, 2016 @oldjeep varnish sets for 24 hours at 40-45C. Though I would not worry about higher temp's: there is no laminate in this ski, other materials - carbon & PVC core can withstand much higher temperature. The main danger for ski is not a temp itself: ski don't like temperature shock - for example when you immerse hot ski to cold water. If you let it cool gradually heat should not be a problem for ski construction. Although PVC or PU laminate theoretically may degrade on the sunlight, but I never saw this issue.
