Baller Edbrazil Posted September 29, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2016 This event starts today. Is there anywhere that scoring is going to be posted?
Baller bishop8950 Posted September 29, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2016 I doubt anyone is posting scores. It's pretty mellow.
Baller jcamp Posted September 29, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2016 Scores are not being posted on nautiquebigdawg.com or waterskiresults.com. Likely not enough interest in the LCQ. Scores and video tomorrow.
Baller Roger Posted September 29, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2016 There are only about 30 skiers signed up and many of them are either the judges and drivers for the Big Dawg/US Open or are already qualified and treating it as practice. Baller Drago Posted September 29, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2016 is it not sanctioned?

Baller Edbrazil Posted September 30, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted September 30, 2016 Looks like the 3 people entered who were trying to make it to tomorrow all made it. First round of Big Dawg will be 'only' 37 skiers, so there were some qualified who did not enter. Supposed to be on live video feed starting 8am. Baller bishop8950 Posted September 30, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 30, 2016 90% sure there is no webcast for Big Dawg or US Open qualifications on Friday. Webcast starts at 8am Sat.
Baller scoke Posted September 30, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 30, 2016 Jcamp, The rest of the story. We fully intended to do live scoring for this event. We had about 30 skiers lined up all ready to ski. As Bishop said, laid back but very high quality setup for the skiers to run buoys. We knew how important the LCQ event is and was to the outside world. Nautique had two very nice 6.2l boats decked out for the skiers. Tailwind off the dock of 6-8mph, water temp around 85. Tuesday pm and Wednesday PM, we had tremendous lightening and storms roll through. It burnt some of our technical equipment. We had the cameras and all the feeds setup and ready to go. Since some of the communication equipment got burnt, we couldn't feed back to the building therefore no live scoring as that's where the communication (wifi/internet) resides. Big props to the technical team for sweating this out and getting it working. At 7:15am we were up the creek as we had no gates or videos. Feverishly worked on getting the tournament running for the 8:30am start time. The technical team had a backup plan and we were back up and running for around 8:45ish. We started only 30 minutes late considering the situation. Then the TC team worked all day on the issue and by 4pm we had it working again with a feed back to the building. Without their sweat and hard work, we wouldn't have the live feed today but would have been running dark, again. The rest of the story.
Baller jcamp Posted September 30, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 30, 2016 @scoke Thanks for the update and all the hard work (you and the tech crew). Appreciate the live results today, watching them all morning.
Baller bishop8950 Posted September 30, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 30, 2016 It was a well done event and everyone here is working hard. I did not mean mellow in any bad way, it was an event set up for skiers to put up scores and several did. @Scoke looked good as well which isn't easy when you are working your butt off
Baller Edbrazil Posted September 30, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted September 30, 2016 Notes about @scoke comments: That area is prone to severe weather. At the 1989 World Tournament there, lightning knocked out some technical gear. Today, they are also having weather challenges. But, at least it's not a hurricane...yet. One of them is scheduled to pass by in a few days, for a near miss...or not.
