Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted October 12, 2016 Gold Member Posted October 12, 2016 Just thought I'd share an amusing and ironic injury. The last two nights I've skied some crazy prototype with some crazy settings. Sounds maybe a little dangerous, but that was completely fine. Then I got home and was rushing to put my shoes on so I could go pick up my daughter. Apparently I got a little too aggressive with the laces, and I managed to sprain/dislocate/do-something-generally-bad to the last knuckle of my middle finger. It swelled right up and turned all sorts of colors. (Doh -- forgot to take a picture!) I probably could ski today and I hope to be totally fine by tomorrow. But be careful tying those shoes, folks! :)
Baller Orlando76 Posted October 12, 2016 Baller Posted October 12, 2016 That's why I only wear flip flops. It GREATLY reduces knuckle injury and makes it that much quicker to hop onto a ski.
Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted October 12, 2016 Baller_ Posted October 12, 2016 You know they make shoes with Velcro instead of laces right? Most common for little kids and REALLY old folks. If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
Baller Razorskier1 Posted October 12, 2016 Baller Posted October 12, 2016 @Bruce_butterfield -- and for engineers ;-), like @Than_Bogan
Baller VONMAN Posted October 13, 2016 Baller Posted October 13, 2016 Darn, and I thought skiing was hard on my body. Ernie Schlager
Baller Skoot1123 Posted October 13, 2016 Baller Posted October 13, 2016 Dragging knuckles again @Than_Bogan? Sounds like a tying loop over the line type issue. TWOL?
