Baller Jack_Haase Posted December 25, 2016 Baller Posted December 25, 2016 Hello I have been skiing on a Goode 9100 for about three years now and I am thinking about upgrading. Does anyone have any good suggestions???
Baller sunvalleylaw Posted December 25, 2016 Baller Posted December 25, 2016 All I can say is try some. What is best for one is not best for another. I just received a new D3 ARC, which is right up my alley. But that may or may not be the right one for you. Others with more experience can maybe make some more specific suggestions. Happy shopping!
Baller bigskieridaho Posted December 25, 2016 Baller Posted December 25, 2016 @Jack_Haase yep, demo some and see what works. I am in the same boat to get a new ski also. I am a Radar fan, but am also gonna try a couple other brands as well. Those older Goode skis are old technology and have changed quite a bit now. Good luck!
Baller Jack_Haase Posted December 25, 2016 Author Baller Posted December 25, 2016 @bigskieridaho thank you
Baller_ aupatking Posted December 26, 2016 Baller_ Posted December 26, 2016 @Jack_Haase now that Goode is putting out the Nano One and N1XT, I'd try those out. They still have the feel of the old Goode's (9100) but sooooo refined, you'll wish you switched 5 years ago.
Baller A_B Posted December 26, 2016 Baller Posted December 26, 2016 I have an old friend that was getting into 38 on his vintage CDX. I saw him over the holidays and he upgraded to a Strada and loves it. I thought that was pretty amazing for a guy who is 67 years old still skiing 34 and runs 35, on old stuff. He just doesn't ski in tournaments.
Baller_ MISkier Posted December 26, 2016 Baller_ Posted December 26, 2016 Just upgraded from my 9500 to an XT (couple years old). Familiar feel, much better performance. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller LeonL Posted December 27, 2016 Baller Posted December 27, 2016 9100 is a pretty old ski, but is considered by many to be one of the best Goode ever made. If it isn't really broke down.
Baller Cent Posted December 27, 2016 Baller Posted December 27, 2016 Different preferences for different people, I chose a Rev 6. I previously used a Nano One. I have tried the new Nano XT
Baller Jack_Haase Posted December 27, 2016 Author Baller Posted December 27, 2016 @LeonL In about the past year I have grown a lot and have developed huge feet and the binding I have won't fit me Im in a size 15 for mens!! I wish it was easy as taking off the binding and putting them back on but its the second time I would have been drilling into the ski otherwise I would totally stick with the ski. Thanks for your advice tho.
