1939 - 55' Thunderbird - John Hacker Design - Twin V-12's - 550 hp each.

Begs the question......what is the biggest boat you have ever skied behind??

(35' houseboat for me - wakes were waist high, 100' behind the boat)

That is one of the coolest boats I've ever seen! Of course the wake would suck, but who could pass up the chance to ski behind it? One of the few boats that driving would appeal to me more than skiing behind it, though. That is awesome!

I skied behind my 41' offshore back in the day. On the Hudson River no less. Went under the George Washington, Tappan Zee, and Bear Mountain bridges. (But not continuously).

Wake crossings weren't as bad as you'd think, but the wakes from passing ships were another thing entirely.......

On a episode of Mythbusters, they had one of the team ride a wakeboard (I know, not skiing) behind a cruise ship. They got them up with another boat, caught up to the cruise ship, and grabbed the rope from the ship to switch.

The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
