Baller jetpilotg4 Posted January 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 30, 2017 A few months back someone posted asking prices for a handful of 196's for sale, and I was wondering why mine would fall into that list. 1100 hours, just replaced gauges ( faria conversion ) and added ZO this past fall. Recovered Rear Seat, Rear lockers and driver seat with skins from Christine's Marine. I have my eye on a '16 SN 200, Thanks.
Baller 6balls Posted January 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 30, 2017 With ZO I'd ski it til it's dead.
Baller swc5150 Posted January 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 30, 2017 I just sold my '06 Limited with 690 hours and PPSG for $24,500, if that helps? I had new factory skins to throw into the deal too.

Baller BrennanKMN Posted January 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 30, 2017 You'd sell that thing super fast for that price with ZO.
Baller swc5150 Posted January 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 30, 2017 I'm with you @jetpilotg4 . Maybe it's a mid-life thing, but turning 44 in March, I decided if I don't buy a new boat now, when will I?
Baller epnault Posted January 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 30, 2017 Your boat is good but the latest technology is really great. As entered my 40s I decided to buy a brand new boat last year. I don't regret it at all. Waiting isn't worth it.
Baller LoopSki Posted January 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 30, 2017 @swc5150 yeah you are ancient. I don't turn 44 till August ! Also hoping new boat this year.
Baller swc5150 Posted January 31, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 31, 2017 I told my 2 1/2 year old daughter we bought a new boat. Without me saying a word about skiing, she's says "I want to ski daddy, and I want a pink ski". I've been grinning ear to ear since. Buy the boat @ jetpilotg4! Baller david_ski Posted January 31, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 31, 2017 @jetpilotg4 Questions on your Faria conversion. Did you replace gauges with like gauges? Who did you buy through? I have a 03 SN196 and the gauges are sticky, you have to occasionally tap them to read correctly.
Baller jetpilotg4 Posted January 31, 2017 Author Baller Share Posted January 31, 2017 @david_ski i did the gateway conversion kit, bought through nautique parts. Tried replacing the gas gauge and volt meter, but new guages didnt solve problem. Maybe thats why the gateway box lasted only a few years.
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted January 31, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted January 31, 2017 Another of nice things that Correct Craft and PCM did on this generation SN is to bring forward analog information in the existing wiring harness. I have bypassed the Gateway for dash information on a couple of conversions. A nice set of Faria Analog gauges and the time to rewire the dash pod is about half the cost of A Gateway And with better reliability..
Baller david_ski Posted February 3, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 3, 2017 @Jody_Seal. Good info. I will spend some more time weaving through the boat electrical spaghetti. Mine is a 2003 Signature SN196 5.7L with a 2007 DBW engine wiring harness and ZeroOff. Signature Series has the Farina analog gauges and no keyless ignition. I don't think I have the gateway box in mine. I have the engine electrical and the dash figured out. I have not sorted out the engine to dash wiring yet. Picked up this boat in October. Still a new to me boat.
