Baller ozski Posted February 16, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 16, 2017 Found one of these in my (left) 41 tail this week, the hard way. Lucky it did not put a bite on me. lesson learned. Right before a set it can throw you a bit but it turned out to be a nice run up the line into -38.. Smaller variants of centipedes produce nothing more than a painful, localized reaction, not unlike a bee sting. Larger species, however, administer more venom through a bite and can produce more extreme pain. While centipede bites can be extremely painful, they are not generally fatal to humans. Baller BRY Posted February 16, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 16, 2017 Check every time. Usually nothing but frogs and lizards occasionally. If I didn't leave them out in the screen room....

Baller bishop8950 Posted February 16, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 16, 2017 Yikes! One lake I ski has tiny frogs all over the place. They always seem to find their way into my bindings. If you don't shake them out first you find them the hard way. At least they don't bite
Baller Edbrazil Posted February 16, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 16, 2017 Back quite a few years. Trying to encourage my wife to put on her trick skis, and take a set. She picked up one ski, and the binding was loaded with earwigs. Last time that she ever skied.
Baller sunvalleylaw Posted February 16, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 16, 2017 No. But not a bad idea. A few miles south of us there can be black widows and hobo spiders.
Baller Spuddy Posted February 16, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 16, 2017 First set of the year a friend had a mouse crawl out of his binding and off the back the platform. Not sure if the mouse made it to shore!
