Baller Razorskier1 Posted February 16, 2017 Baller Posted February 16, 2017 So suppose your settings were dialed last fall, but in becoming Achmed you finally lost that stubborn 10 lbs. do you change anything, or just start out the same?
Baller thager Posted February 16, 2017 Baller Posted February 16, 2017 Leave them the same until the water starts to warm up and you get your technique back where it belongs. Then maybe...

Baller RazorRoss3 Posted February 16, 2017 Baller Posted February 16, 2017 switch to a 65 inch ski add a full inch of length quarter inch more DFT I recommend flipping the left wing backwards and max out the depth (says the guy trying to win the father son competition)

Baller skier2788 Posted February 16, 2017 Baller Posted February 16, 2017 Are we talking fin settings or ZO? I assume fin.... Would agree with @thager wait for water to warm a little and then adjust. I believe in fin whispering he mentions that around 60 degrees is the best to adjust your ski. Your body isn't frigid or in a drusuit at that point.
Baller Chef23 Posted February 16, 2017 Baller Posted February 16, 2017 I would just go ski and see how it feels. I know the impulse is strong to make changes when the water is frozen but if you were skiing well on the setup in the fall I would stick with it until you shake the rust off.
Baller ski6jones Posted February 16, 2017 Baller Posted February 16, 2017 Not sure why you'd change anything unless you were right on the bubble for your ski size at your previous weight, and even then only after getting your ski form back.
Administrators Horton Posted February 16, 2017 Administrators Posted February 16, 2017 I do not believe in messing with settings until it is warm and then.... don't tweak unless there is a problem. Baller Razorskier1 Posted February 17, 2017 Author Baller Posted February 17, 2017 So step one, balance on a ski behind a moving boat, step two, get my groove back, step, three, adjust.
Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted February 17, 2017 Baller_ Posted February 17, 2017 Isn't step 1 wait for the ice to melt? If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
Baller Razorskier1 Posted February 17, 2017 Author Baller Posted February 17, 2017 Step four - I like step 4! Especially if I do it in a head-to-head against @skidawg! Somebody has to put some pressure on that guy!
Baller_ Wish Posted February 17, 2017 Baller_ Posted February 17, 2017 You will have to get past me first....
