Baller ozski Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 This might just be a weapon! Cheap ZO 6.0 Mastercraft
Baller Rpc29 Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 I have this boat with a 5.7 LT-1 and it's crazy fast. Can't imagine that hull with a 6.0, would be super fun for the driver!
303Skier
I'd love to drive and ski behind that boat! Very cool!
Baller Onside135 Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 I saw this when it was first posted and thought that when sold, it will be the cheapest zero off boat sold to date. Well worth the asking price...in my opinion.
Baller Orlando76 Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 Didn't I just see a red 96 MC with ZO in Windermere, FL for the same price? Kinda gotten the feeling it might've belong to KLP? That one almost got my wheels turning in my head.
Baller dchristman Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 Ummm... anybody look at the picture? It sure isn't an MC190, unless the hull's also been upgraded with that of a 1996 Nautique.
Baller oldjeep Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 Looks like a 96 prostar dash to me. Interior looks same as this one LINK
Baller dchristman Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 OK. I'm convinced :)

Baller 6balls Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 Geez what is motor alone on the re-power worth? I'd be suspicious personally...seems one of those things that doesn't quite add up. If in Florida, though and cud verify in person...
Baller bigskieridaho Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 I am pretty sure I remember seeing a thread somewhere about this boat. Can't remember where though. Pretty legit though for the price!
Baller swc5150 Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 I bet it's legit. Prob a salty too, with a galvanized trailer? It's an old, and not overly sought after hull. Other than maybe to a baller wanting ZO, the repower won't crank up the value on the open market on that boat. I just don't see ZO being that illusive these days. It's been listed for a while too, so I must not be the only one with that opinion.
Baller scoke Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 Well I can't speak FOR Mike but I'll toss in a few comments. It's a very nice boat as he keeps it in West Palm during the winter and skis at okeeheelee. I highly doubt he goes to the salt water drinking beer as they are at the lake hanging out when they are here. Saying it's in saltwater down here is bad karma as that's just uninformed speculation. Not sure what goes on up on the "north end" of okeeheelee as most people ski from the main docks via the main/turnpike/ew lakes including Mike and this boat. He's a standup guy and wanted ZO a few years back.
Baller swc5150 Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 I only questioned saltwater, I wasn't trying to make a statement. Sounds like a nice boat for someone wanting a rocket ship on the cheap then.
shansen345
My friend's 1998 SportStar scoots with a 305 Chevy, can't imagine what it'd be like with over 100 more HP...
303Skier
There was also a 07 or 08 SN 196 for sale in CO that was high hours and only like $13k. Don Lafavor's boat.
Baller vtjc Posted May 19, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 19, 2017 @303Skier That 08 196 in CO went for $20k, I was the second highest bidder: ebay link @shansen345 I agree I had a 99 SportStar with 350/5.7L with 310HP it was a rocket. I still enjoy sking behind a friends 98 SportStar with an LT-1. That 95-97 Prostar hull with a 6L would be very powerful and fast.
303Skier
@vtjc gave that boat away @$20K
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted May 19, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted May 19, 2017 Nobody is giving these boats away, these boats are being sold at what the market will bare. I have 03 MC sitting in the yard now, repowered, ZO, asking $15K and no offers!
Baller gt2003 Posted May 21, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 21, 2017 What years were the "death star"?
Baller_ MISkier Posted May 21, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted May 21, 2017 @gt2003, it was 1998 through 2000 that were non-optimal for the 190. The SportStar did not have that hull design and continued on with the 1995-1997 hull design through its entire run, so it should be good all years. The Skier 19 and Prostar 195 also used the 1995-1997 design. Beginning in 1996, the 205 also continued on with the 1995-1997 design and should be good all years. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
