Baller bigskieridaho Posted July 2, 2017 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2017 So when I turn my hot water shower on it gets scorching hot and will not cool down. Turned both knobs, and it seems to cool for a second, but then it is just HOT! Any ideas?
Baller hemlock Posted July 2, 2017 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2017 Turn hot off, any water at all? I'm guessing your cold line is clogged. First check your knob assembly. There are usually screens in the (cold and hot) hoses that connect to it. Or there are screens at the knobs themselves. If that area is clear, look into the cold intake via the engine box or leaks at the water pump.
Baller bigskieridaho Posted July 2, 2017 Author Baller Share Posted July 2, 2017 @hemlock nope no cold when I turn hot off so that sounds like the issue. Will look into it today.
Baller Ilivetoski Posted July 2, 2017 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2017 Our boat has the same issue
Baller Chef23 Posted July 2, 2017 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2017 Doesn't fix your issue but we have found that when using a dry suit you don't really need the shower. By the time we come out of the dry suits you don't really need it.
Baller_ MISkier Posted July 2, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted July 2, 2017 @Chef23, we use the shower with our drysuits to fill buckets with hot water for feet, hands, gloves. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller mwetskier Posted July 3, 2017 Baller Share Posted July 3, 2017 we keep a small 6 pack cooler filled with steaming hot water in the boat at the cold end of the season. you can ski 3 or 4 passes before your hands become almost too cold stop and soak them for a minute or two in the small cooler of hot water right on the platform and then your good for at least 4 more passes. Baller Chef23 Posted July 3, 2017 Baller Share Posted July 3, 2017 I think we quit skiing before it gets that cold.

Baller_ MISkier Posted July 3, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted July 3, 2017 @Chef23, we also quit skiing before it gets that cold. It is for when we start skiing (February 22 this year), that the shower or other hot water source is used. Often, the water will be in the mid 30s. A bucket or cooler of hot water is required or hands and feet become too numb to work properly. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears. Baller DmaxJC_ski Posted July 3, 2017 Baller Share Posted July 3, 2017 There is also a screen where the cold tees off and goes to the water pump on the engine, its a canister type, Had the same issue in my Malibu and that thing was packed full of weeds.
