@UWSkier it is a Boesch boat. Swiss origin I believe. Traditionally know for their very very high end cruising boats in Europe. Their ski boat is Ilmor equipped with ZO. The boat is also the exclusive towboat of the German Nationals. The hull is "modern" and is constantly being tested by members of the German national team.

Boesch (if that is the correct spelling) has been around forever. I was unaware they still made a ski boat but it is for sure not an unknown boat in Europe.

@Booze that deal was done three years ago when Birmingham bid on the Worlds, not sure where you have been?? Only one lake to do this event wakeboarding is at Oak Mt State Park, rowing is on the Warrior River

Back to the boats, the Boesch "bulge rudder" is, um, interesting. The website doesn't give much detail, but it's definitely different. Weird interior layout for sure, but kind of makes sense from a storage standpoint, though I'd hate to have to stow everything between skiers. And DEEP!

Boesch is an extremely well built boat, the wood / epoxy layup is far better (stiffer, lighter, stronger) than tupperware boats. Years ago their tournament ski boat had a layout the same as "our" boats, no longer see that on their web site?

frauscherboats.com has a powerful electric boat

The Boesch competition boat held the world record in open mens trick for more than a decade. Only a couple of years ago it was set with a gfk boat.

The Boesch is lighter, more stable in the course and way more quieter in the inside.

The patented rudder makes the water very quite in the wake. Perfect for tow tricks.

Dont compare Swiss Mahagony boats with the American Wooden boats. Boesch and Pedrazzini are in a different league.

And if the pricing of the three keeps getting up at the same pace like in the last years, the Swiss build boats may be cheaper soon.

We dont see a difference in performance at our Nationals between the Boesch or the other three.

Its great that something different is around.
