Baller Zoro957 Posted August 14, 2017 Baller Share Posted August 14, 2017 I have been using my Powervest for a couple of years now, and I love it. The one downside is that it is quite heavy. Has anybody tried using it without the plastic plate in the back? My thought is that you would still get the pull through the straps with a lot less added weight. Baller Jordan Posted August 14, 2017 Baller Share Posted August 14, 2017 Doesn't the plate in the back act as an anchor for the straps?
Baller Zoro957 Posted August 14, 2017 Author Baller Share Posted August 14, 2017 The strap passes through loops in the plate.
Baller JAG Posted August 14, 2017 Baller Share Posted August 14, 2017 The solid plate is what makes it work.
Members sbink
I have used a powervest for the last 7 years. I think you would risk serious back injury without the backplate. The backplate spreads/transfers the load from the straps.
