Baller Buoyhead69 Posted August 15, 2017 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2017 Who has experience chasing buoys at the Harborage or Miromar lakes? We hope to spend some time at both this winter and would like to know if these are good places to ski. Do these lakes get too crowded to provide good water? Is it easy to find a fellow buoyhead to ski a few passes? Am I able to bring a boat & keep it in the water if I rent a house? Are there any other better places to ski? We do like to play tennis, swim, beach etc... for the sake of my marriage it's gotta have a few amenities... How bout Orlando/Winter Haven? Or West Palm? We want warm weather, does Orlando get a little cool? Thanks for any advice!
Baller Zoro957 Posted August 15, 2017 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2017 The options in Orlando are much greater. Many ski schools in the area to choose from. I am from upstate NY so I never find it too cold to ski in Orlando. Others may say differently, especially if you are from a warmer climate. Ft, Meyers as a ski school as well. I've heard good things about it, but I've never skied there. Eden Lakes. A little outside the city. I have a house that I rent in Orlando, but I will be there Jan-March. Baller jhughes Posted August 15, 2017 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2017 Eden Lake is a really great site and it's easy to book sets online with them. I also find Arthur's coaching to be effective. I'm really curious about these other Ft. Meyer's sites. My uncle has a place in that area and I'd be there a lot more often if I could ski at either of those developments. Baller Buoyhead69 Posted August 15, 2017 Author Baller Share Posted August 15, 2017 I've skied Eden lake, great facility, Arthur is terrific. Harborage is a gated community, so is Miromar. I'd like to rent for the winter & want to make sure they're conducive to course skiing & not overcrowded with wakeboards/wake surfing/tubing etc...
