Baller wawaskr Posted October 27, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 27, 2017 Is the Goode XTR sized differently from previous Goode skis? What would be the comparable length to a 66” Nano One XT?

Baller JackQ Posted October 27, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 27, 2017 I was on a 65.25, then 66 xt and the 67 XTR is comparable. I am 172pds/34mph
mr34
Looking to upgrade my ski. I am now in Men's 7 and skiing at 32 MPH. Looking for a ski that will not die in the turn and gain the speed required to get wide at 32mph with low skier input required. I will be 190 when I start in March and am going to look at the Radar Vapor 68", The Raptor 67.5" and the XTR 68". I can find review info on the Vapor and the Raptor, but can find nothing on the XTR. Will Horton be doing a review? Any one else have input on these or other suggestions?
Baller Chef23 Posted January 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted January 26, 2018 I think both @jcamp and @MikeT both have time on the water on the XTR. They are both 34 mph skiers not 32. I think @MikeT is about your weight and I think was on the 67" skiing into 38 off.
Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted January 26, 2018 Supporting Member Share Posted January 26, 2018 @MikeT was DAMN close to running 38 on that ski even as the water cooled in the fall. Works great for him!
Baller jcamp Posted January 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted January 26, 2018 @mr34 I am not a ski reviewer and have a hard time communicating what I feel a ski do, so I'll only stick to the facts: after I got on the XTR I went from running a little less than 50% of my 32s in tournaments to running 9 out of 11 to finish the year. I also added two buoys to my personal best, running 35 off for the first time in my life, in a tournament no less. The ski is very comparable to the XT (my previous favorite ski), but I think a notch better. I have not skied on any other brands recently so I can't compare the XTR with any other company's ski. Baller Ed_Johnson Posted January 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted January 26, 2018 I have been really impressed with the D3 NRG, and it works great at 32 mph, as well as 34. I also talked to a M8 skier who was skiing it at 30 mph and setting personal PB's on it.
Baller ALPJr Posted January 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted January 26, 2018 You may want to check out Syndicate Omni or Syndicate Pro (maybe one size up from the factory recommended on the Pro for 32mph).
