Found a really nice 96 Nautique super sport for sale. Its a v drive but after some research looks to be the same hull as the ski nautiques. Can anyone confirm that? Also, who has skied behind one? And pics of video to show what the wake looks like?

Not A slalom boat by any means. Being I was on the team that developed that boat it was actually derived from the sport Nautique that took the inspiration from the old 90 slant back ski Nautique. yes the hull bottom linage is there but equating apples with onions!

Strip it down to it's bare bones and it will ski like ok at 28 off with a big trough in the middle and a killer drop off on any shorter line.

They do make great intro wake boats and cool lake cruisers!

In the words of Crocodile Dundee " you can live on it but it tast's like s$$t !"

Good wakeboard machine, but not a great slalom tug. Since you are asking on BoS we assume that you want to really ski hard. If you are looking for something to cruise around the lake with your family, the Super Sport would be a great machine. If you want to run the course or really work on your slalom skiing, I'd suggest you keep looking.

You'll have to try it out. Similarly sized V drive boats like the 205v x2 etc usually ski best at around 28 off 32 to 34 mph. You want to get as much crew weight up front and a bow sac can help as well. Some have altitude plates that can help knock down the wave. But moving the engine back to the rear means these boats want to run hull deep at all times.
