Baller ScarletArrow Posted July 5, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 5, 2019 I now have backups for my backups. Hate to just throw away ropes that are still functional but not tournament or training worthy.
Baller OldboyII Posted July 5, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 5, 2019 When I see video of my skiing I know how I should use the rope.... ((
Baller S1Pitts Posted July 5, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 5, 2019 Clothes lines. Give them away to those who are skiing on poor quality ropes as they are still better than what they are using.
Baller B_S Posted July 5, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 5, 2019 Anchor lines, tie off lines, coiled up in the trunk with a roll of duct tape...
Baller Onside135 Posted July 5, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 5, 2019 Give them away to family and friends who ski at a more recreational level. Also, I also made a dog leash out of one. I think my dog walks at 38’ off or so.
Baller_ MISkier Posted July 5, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted July 5, 2019 When I saw what one of our collegiate teams was using for their ropes, I donated my old ropes to them. If yours aren't frayed or dry-rotted, there is a good chance they may be far better than what a collegiate team may be using. The team's ropes were quite frayed and obviously not in good condition. My ropes were only a couple of years old and were not frayed. I had maybe 100 sets on each of them. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears. Baller skialex Posted July 5, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 5, 2019 I give them away to people that ski recreationally and usually are in far better condition than what they use, or take sections of ropes and handles and turned them to dog leashes
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted July 5, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted July 5, 2019 Trick release, dock lines, tow a broken down car, clothes line, tie up .....well wont go there.
Baller BraceMaker Posted July 5, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 5, 2019 I like to braid long sections into thick knotted portions kind of like a trick ski bridle. Since it floats I tie that to things like anchors or prop wrenches. That way you can grab it with out diving down and pick it up.
