Baller WBLskier Posted August 21, 2019 Baller Share Posted August 21, 2019 Are Utah lakes near Salt Lake City brackish from the salt flats? Wondering about corrosion on engine components and trailer etc. thanks.
Baller Garn Posted August 21, 2019 Baller Share Posted August 21, 2019 No. No brackish water in any of the lakes around here. Even Willard Bay, which is a reservoir diked off from the Great Salt Lake, is free of salt water and is used for irrigation and drinking water. Brackish water is one thing you don't have to worry about here in Utah. Now the toxic algae blooms in Utah Lake tends to scare some people off. But that is when I head to the lake because we know we will have it all to ourselves! :)
