lmcdonaldt
Hey everyone, I'm new here, but I'm wondering if anyone could help me place what year(or years) a couple of skis were made and sold by HO. Any help would be great! Thanks! https://photos.app.goo.gl/f7eZZS4fjmWiZ8iz7

Administrators Horton Posted May 29, 2020 Administrators Share Posted May 29, 2020 @BMG73 no that is too late. I rode the Mach 1 when I was 9th -10th grade and graduated high school in 87. Baller mmosley899 Posted May 30, 2020 Baller Share Posted May 30, 2020 Those skis were 82-84 maybe, the first Mach 1 was not the grey one, it was black with red and yellow... Baller_ Wish Posted May 30, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted May 30, 2020 Gray/black = 84ish. Have one in my shed. Purchased when I was in high school. Made famous by Deena Mapple. Got to see a pro tour in Madison Wi back then. Thought it was so cool to be riding a ski that a pro used. It’s the ski that started my addiction. Baller dbski Posted May 30, 2020 Baller Share Posted May 30, 2020 The grey one is mid-80's, I'm thinking 85. Was my first high end slalom ski after skiing a single from a combo set. Interesting side note, it is the ski I used to make the profile pattern to make my 65" decorative skis. All the 65" skis I've made over the years are that shape. Baller JAS Posted May 30, 2020 Baller Share Posted May 30, 2020 84-85 is about right. Turbo was edge to edge Concave. Mach 1 I think think tunnel design. Next ski that came along was the Extreme

lmcdonaldt
I contacted HO to see if they had any archived photos that would help me out, and all they could tell me was that it was pre-2000. Bit disappointing really.
Baller skier2788 Posted May 31, 2020 Baller Share Posted May 31, 2020 For reference I am sitting next to dads ski and I was born in 1988. I think it was a little earlier than 84-85. Dad spent about three decades on that ski.
