Baller Ski2000 Posted May 30, 2020 Baller Share Posted May 30, 2020 Any good source for replacement boa laces. Had my front pop this morning and my rear is looking a little rough.
Baller thager Posted May 30, 2020 Baller Share Posted May 30, 2020 When mine broke I tied a knot and covered with shrink wrap. I then called radar direct and they immediately sent a replacement kit. IMO these laces are the weak point on the Carbitex bindings. Everyone I ski with has had these break. The previous Vapor boot boas were much stronger. Baller Ski2000 Posted May 30, 2020 Author Baller Share Posted May 30, 2020 Thanks @fu_man. Got a set ordered. Glad they broke instead of my ankle but it’s a bummer when it’s the first set on a Saturday morning.
Baller m_pags Posted May 31, 2020 Baller Share Posted May 31, 2020 When the PVC coated lace broke the 2nd time I contacted Radar customer service. They sent me a high strength thread lace. I haven't had one break since. I used a large curved needle to get the lace through the eyelets.
Baller pregom Posted June 21, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 21, 2020 I just went to the site https://www.boafit.com/en-us/support and I tried to order a replacement kit. I uploaded a picture of my Carbitex Vapor boot, but besides finding Radar as the manufacturer of my boot, I had to answer "other" to the other questions. At the end it said that it found the type of BOA kit that I need: Kit, Warranty, L4, Dial A, CS1. Is it correct?
Baller skierjp Posted June 22, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 22, 2020 @pregom why wouldn't you just call Radar or Performance?
Baller pregom Posted June 22, 2020 Baller Share Posted June 22, 2020 Good point. I'll do that, thanks.
