@adamhcaldwell ran 41 and .5@43off last weekend at the Trophy Lakes record tournament. With all this talk about boat path issues it's starting to feel like every time someone runs 41 in a record event we need to see what the boat path looked like. The images below are from the Splasheye system of the boat paths for his 41off and 43off passes. Jeff Gilbert was behind the wheel and did an amazing job. Boat was a 6L Malibu TXI. Ski obviously a Denali C75.

For what it's worth they also were running the Surepath system all day Friday in practice as well as during the tournament on Saturday. Caldwell made the comment that he felt like after some time using Surepath all the drivers in the tourney both felt better to him as well as reduced the deviation in their passes. He also said that the differences between the drivers was reduced once they got dialed in with Surepath.

In any case this was some great skiing by Caldwell and great driving by Jeff, Congrats guys!

Not only is that impressiver skiing, that is also impressive driving. Thanks for posting and hopefully viewers know at what they are looking. That surepath is pretty dang cool...and does provide accurate, real time data and feed back. No question about that 41!

@klindy Caldwell corrected me, they used Surepath Friday in practice and Saturday in the tourney but not Sunday in the tourney, so it wasn't being used for this set. He turned 5 ball twice on Saturday at 41, then made a fin change for Sunday and ran it.

Sorry I mean Jeff's numbers. By the way for those of you who don't those numbers show he was dead center everywhere except he was about 1 inch toward the skier at 1 ball and about 1/2 inch away from the skier at 2. That is truly amazing driving!!!!

yes

The 41 off pass- The driver was -.05cm away from the skier at 1 ball. at 2 ball the driver was plus 1.6 cm towards the skier. 3 ball boat was away from the skier -3.8cm. 4 ball towards the skier plus 2.1 cm. 5 ball - 8.1 cm away from the skier and 6 ball away from the skier- 2.8 cm. Over all this phenomenal driving by Jeff Gilbert and even better skiing by Adam. The outside number represent the cumulative deviation which was -11.7 cm away from the skier.

We’re definitely spoiled with amazing drivers in the Carolina's.

They all talk, communicate, give feedback, ask for feedback, work hard at what they do, and are passionate about their craft.

I am forever grateful to our group of dedicated skiers who continually support tournaments and everything we do at Trophy Lakes.

Also, cannot thank Malibu boats enough for setting us up with such a great product and amazing boat - this thing is tuned and dialed for big scores!
