Baller 2Valve Posted July 6, 2020 Baller Report Posted July 6, 2020 After being diagnosed with Melanoma, my Dermatologist recommended wearing UPF shirts while skiing or out on the lake. Being unfamiliar with them, can someone recommend a brand they use?
Baller Andre Posted July 6, 2020 Baller Report Posted July 6, 2020 Sorry to read this. Love my O'Neills! My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance!
Baller klindy Posted July 6, 2020 Baller Report Posted July 6, 2020 Anything with a SPF of 45 or greater. Masterline made them and I have a few others from various sources. Several I have are 'officials' shirts from various events so I'll bet you can find them at almost any sports apparel store. The Masterline shirt I have I use for slalom. It's thin and quite stretchy so it stays tight to the skin even when wet. Dries almost instantly. I hope your case wasn't too serious. Caught early it's quite treatable. However it can be a really tough disease to control or kill. Several of us on here have faced the challenge and are happy to help however we can. Feel free to reach out via PM for more.
Baller_ Wish Posted July 6, 2020 Baller_ Report Posted July 6, 2020 @2Valve sorry to hear this. Please feel free to PM me. I started this thread in 2011. https://www.ballofspray.com/forum#/discussion/2607/please-make-your-appointment-today/p1
Moved2ski Posted July 6, 2020 Report Posted July 6, 2020 I just bought one rated at 50 from Costco less then one hour ago. Impulse buy for $12.
Baller buoyboy1 Posted July 7, 2020 Baller Report Posted July 7, 2020 +1 on the O'Neill UPF 50 shirts. I also use a SPF cap with a small flexible bill that will stay on your head while you ski....but it does float should it come off during a good spill. The tag is from C Wear in AU but their website does not come up. It has stopped the dermatologist from removing "stuff" from my scalp the past decade.
Baller APB Posted July 7, 2020 Baller Report Posted July 7, 2020 VOLCOM, ONEILL, QUIKSILVER are the best option. i own and sell alot of volcom ones.
