Is 1983 Ski Centurion Tru Trac an Official Towboat?

Does anyone know if a 1983 Ski Centurion Tru Trac is/has been a USA Waterski "official" towboat?

It was in 1983. Is currently way out of date and could not be used for official competition.

Thank you. I've been skiing behind this boat for years and love it. Considering buying on a private ski lake but a USA Waterski official towboat is a requirement. Trying to figure out if I qualify.

Pretty sure that’s just to keep the wake barges and jet skis off that lake. Official tow boat is most likely one that was official at any point in AWSA or USA Waterski history unless the guidelines for the lake specify newer the a certain year. Can you post the rule here?

Interesting list of awsa approved tow boats over the years. There was such a variety of manufacturers back in the day! Tournament approved outbound tow boat (Glastron Ski Machine) and tournament approved I/O (Ski Pro). I skied behind both of those often in my youth on Lake McQueeney. Boy, did they suck! But, the Ski Machine is sorta retro cool though.

@maxepr - I would certainly verify that an out of date approved boat qualifies. You might scan the boats on the lake to confirm.

Just tell them that over the years you've come to like a clean looking exterior and therefore you removed some of the graphics including the US Open one. [technically, I think that US Open graphic was present on a few model years in the late 80s]
