Any Ballers in extreme NW Ohio?

My job is sending me to Wauseon OH (just west of Toledo) next week, thru the 18th. Which is bad timing considering Lymanland is having the first Fall tournament in...well...maybe ever, and it's on the 19th.

 

Would nearly 2 weeks off be beneficial right before a tournament? Doubtful.

If I can find someone to ski with up there it would be awesome.

There are several skiers and lakes out that way. Wauseon is isolated, so you're probably looking at 45 min drive minimum.

Not sure who owns this but I've seen a course on it. Not far from Wauseon.

Pointless to this conversation but my mom grew up just south of Wauseon, definitely kind of out there, I think she graduated high school in a class of 20 people? Never knew there were ski sites nearby.

How long has that lake been there? I spent at lot of time in our plant in Wauseon 20 years ago. It wasn't there back then was it?

@DaveD, according to Google Earth time lapse, it was there in 2004. In 1995, it was two separate gravel pits that they must have subsequently joined.

@h2onhk my sources tell me that a couple barefooters have developed that lake.

I don’t really know anything about it.

@A_B interesting. A few months ago i was traveling past there and saw a course on it. Barefooting seems challenging on that setup. Really quick up and downs.

Agree but I made the turn at our lake 30 plus years ago barefooting behind the boat and I look at it now like what was I thinking?

Barefooters are a different breed.

 

That is just what I heard. I don’t see any buoys out on satellite. But that’s not 100% either around these parts with winter.
