Baller_ lpskier Posted April 16, 2021 Baller_ Share Posted April 16, 2021 So you’re a tournament skier. You go to Regionals and Nationals every year. What specific rope do you train with and why? Lpskier
Baller 6balls Posted April 16, 2021 Baller Share Posted April 16, 2021 No reg and nat's every year, but a 2.5@39 in tourney--lots and lots of 32 off. Can run lots of 35's but wear and tear on the body, and 38 is the money pass so don't train it for the most part, just poke it.
Baller PatM Posted April 16, 2021 Baller Share Posted April 16, 2021 A couple years ago I started using the Masterline due to the fact that is what is used most often in tournaments. That being said, InTow makes a great rope. Use InTow handles.
Baller TEL Posted April 16, 2021 Baller Share Posted April 16, 2021 I am a tournaments Skier as of last year. Hopefully this year I’ll go to regionals but will probably never qualify for nationals. I typically Ski with InTow ropes. Seeing that I was going to ski tournaments I bought two of the MasterLine ropes to practice with because they do feel different. What surprised me was that every tournament I went to was using either a Radar or HO rope. I think regionals and nationals would be different? Baller markn Posted April 16, 2021 Baller Share Posted April 16, 2021 For all tournaments, I ask what ropes will be used. A week before the tournament, I train with that specific rope. As an example, Swiss uses Syndicate ropes and Ski Fluid uses Master Line. The ropes feel completely different to me, both great ropes, just different. Administrators Horton Posted April 16, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 16, 2021 I really don't feel the difference between ropes. It's far more important that I ski on a fresh rope than a specific brand of rope. full disclosure I'm the guy that's always complaining about the difference between boats. oddly I just don't feel the Delta between ropes. Baller 6balls Posted April 17, 2021 Baller Share Posted April 17, 2021 OK sorry I missed the flavor of the question. I like something easy to loop at the pylon. INtow rocks
Baller Intheday Posted April 17, 2021 Baller Share Posted April 17, 2021 I thought this post was going to be “Your a Tournament Skier” if? You see a creek and think can you fit a corse in there. You wonder if owning a boat is more important than owning a home.
