Baller swc5150 Posted September 27, 2021 Baller Share Posted September 27, 2021 Instead of an old fashioned OTF, I came half way out of a Goode hard shell, severely spraining my ankle.
Baller mlange Posted September 28, 2021 Baller Share Posted September 28, 2021 Scorpioned footing when I was in high school. At 51 I now have a herniated disc and need to see a chiropractor regularly.
Baller Cnewbert Posted September 29, 2021 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2021 Wow! I had no idea water skiing was so dangerous, but these comments are disturbing. It’s got me thinking I need to take up a safer sport, safer than slalom skiing. I’m thinking bull riding.

Baller rockdog Posted October 25, 2021 Baller Share Posted October 25, 2021 Tibial Plateau Fracture in left knee start of last year. Second set back 10 months later severely strained all ligaments in right ankle after a tail blowout and missed whole season. Previous 35 odd years nothing much. Baller 2Valve Posted October 25, 2021 Baller Share Posted October 25, 2021 It can be a risky sport. But so is any other activity. Let's see, a blown eardrum back in the 90's, a broken left foot, and abdominal hernia, all in the course. This year, a bad OTF resulted in some torn ligaments in my right foot. All in all, not bad for skiing about five days/week for a ton of years. But I'm lucky. Two deer/motorcycle collisions with only one concussion and no broken bones. Our club has a saying, "It's only water, what could go wrong?"
