MEFI6?

When did Delphi/GM start using MEFI6 in its 5.7L engines? My neighbor has a 2007 Mastercraft with the Indmar 5.7L MPI engine. Diacom readings show a bad Oxygen sensor. When looking for a new sensor in the online parts houses, there are 2 different O2 sensors. One for most Indmar 5.7L engines and one for engines with the MEFI6 controller. I don't know enough about the history of MEFI 3, 4, 5 & 6 to know which one is on this engine. Any help would be appreciated.

Should be mefi 5/5a. But email indmar at their contact link With your engine serial number and Larry will tell you everything you want to know.

Or just look at the label on the ecm if it is still there.

MC world Mefi1 was 94/5 very quickly going to mefi 2 3and 4.

 

Anything DBW in 05/6/7 is mefi 5 and then in 08 on to econtrols other than some wake boats in 08/09.

 

Best is like oldjeep said look at the ecm it will have a sticker or google a photo of a MEFI and compare it several of the tuner companies have pictures and descriptions of the lin sockets.

I had a 2007 Malibu RLxi with a 5.7l.

It was MEFI 5B.
