Baller Andre Posted May 5 Baller Share Posted May 5 What glue do you guys use for new boat carpet install ? Has a rubber backing. I roughed the fiberglass a bit with 40 grit paper on an orbital sander but still smooth a bit... Will this do the job ? https://www.amazon.ca/HENRY-COMPANY-12185-Carpet-Adhesive/dp/B00336I62W/ref=sr_1_1?crid=29AED9KZFY1QV&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.3S3QNAkTzI0yMDuFHWlZPKsVtRQ2VrUYSVKeq2MmZ3I6Z_kcKkYqAWeRyjsGUzvX.fM-1Lnw0ZrS25zY-eOs1CfMguMIDK0W6bJdlP9OiMXk&dib_tag=se&keywords=henry%2B663%2Bglue&qid=1714911426&sprefix=henry%2B663%2Bglu%2Caps%2C829&sr=8-1&th=1 My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance! Baller BobF Posted May 5 Baller Share Posted May 5 I'm sure that would work fine. I re-did my entire boat a few years ago using this stuff and it worked well and has held up perfectly.
Baller DvarianDan Johnson Posted May 5 Baller Share Posted May 5 The adhesive for indoor/outdoor carpet you can get at Lowe’s is for marine use also. Works great. Important with any adhesive is to not use too much .
Baller DonT Posted May 5 Baller Share Posted May 5 If it's available on your area (i.e.banned in california) I've had great results with weldwood outdoor carpet adhesive
Baller_ Rednucleus Posted May 6 Baller_ Share Posted May 6 @DonT if it's banned it's got to be the best glue ever made. Bet it smells good too!!!
