  1. I had a carbon plate start to deteriorate, looked pretty bad so I swapped it out for the G10, no issues since.
  2. Jenny Labaw will build you a program based on what you have and what ails you also.
  3. Use what ya got, body weight stuff, lots out there. Sit ups, push ups, chin/pull ups, tricep dips, gets some plates or dumb bells, throw in some yoga moves and some stretching and you'll chew up an hour fast! Cardio will wear down the love handles too, stationary bike or low end BowFlex Max. It doesn't happen overnight though. Ditching the booze and ice cream is next level stuff, how far do you want to go?
  4. Like anything, don't give up until you try them. They're really not that bad. Like previously stated, lock tite on the horseshoe, ck the plate screws every 3-4 sets and all good. The positives far outweigh the negs. I would never go back to soft or rubber bindings, ancient technology! There's maintenance with everything.
  5. I can’t make mine release on the dock but they do release on the water when needed.

    Malibu Tantrum

I didn't know that these existed, reminds me of my Moomba Boomerang. It was bare bones too but the price was right and it sat at the dock and got pounded by the waves and covered in algea but when it was calm, the thing was always ready to roll. I think the Tantrum would be just fine for the right price. Remember though, you get what you pay for, don't expect Nautique level boating.
  7. I can get it on Apple Podcasts on my phone and ancient iPad, all of them seem to be there as I've listened to some of them mora than 20X. Helps pass the time on the stationary bike and I always miss stuff. Reinforces and reminds me also when there's been gaps between sets. Great stuff BTW, Thanks T&C!
  8. Yes and no on the electrical, remember that it's a boat and designed to live and operate in and around water and moisture. Lots of boats and sleds sunk around here and still running. I do agree that the newer electronics may make it more of a problem but possibly the opposite. Good luck! Get it up and running then use it lots.
  9. If no insurance, a lot of the stuff previously stated but also run the thing and flush the oils a few times. Get some heat in there to help get rid of the moisture. Just pulled my old outboard up off the bottom the other day, it's a huge bummer but less work than anticipated.
  10. Ahhh....the enviable position of looking for new gear, very exciting! Of course you should get a new ski, lucky guy!
  11. I get a different answer from everyone I ask regarding the spotter issue. Clarification from someone of authority, not a facetube post, would be helpful. Thanks for bringing that up.
  12. Half hour from the Manitoba border on Lake Of The Woods, open water course. On a good day in August we can have 6 or 7 skiers, most of who are summer residents. Otherwise it's only 2 of us, skiing in rough, windy conditions and freezing our A$$'s off! Most of us are in our 50's and have been skiing forever, still trying to keep it real!
  13. I would subscribe to a print version. The long winter season is approaching, unfortunately. How about some articles on ski schools and what else there is to do while there, the whole vacation trip? More interviews. technical stuff such as fin adjustments, installing inserts, course maintenance, boat and trailer maintenance, stuff we all need to know. Gear, we all need more gear!
  14. Sleeving might be the answer, I'm really struggling with this as it's not really rocket science but this time I'm struggling.
  15. Not hard to hit $400.00 in Canada these days. I asked for high end parts too, again, hoping to not have to do this again for a long time. I'll ck out these options, THANKS!
  16. Ok, I'll load the buddies this time. I didn't realize that they had to be loaded. Retro to oil bath? I didn't know you could. What are the options?
  17. New seals installed nice and straight, no grease pumped in as the bearing were freshly packed. That's what has me fried, they should have lasted hundreds of thousands of miles not 20.
  18. It has bearing buddies but I just repacked the bearings so they were full. Yes, snug up, back off, take up the slack on nut. Only thing I can see is the grease was crap! Going to try different grease on one side this time. The thing that really gets me is the amount of trailers that I see on the side of the highway with burned out bearings vs. the number of trailers traveling, not many but then there's me with no miles and $400.00/yr.
  19. My boat gets trailered about 20miles/year, previous owner did less. Last few years the trailer was making a loud rattling noise, aluminum trailer. Bearing hubs were not warm but could not figure out the noise. Last year, I pulled the hubs apart and the bearings fell apart on the ground. New bearings, races, seals, Lukas grease and $400.00 later. Ok, should be good forever now as the noise is gone and all good. Throw the boat on the trailer last fall, always careful to only have the wheels under water for as short a period as possible. Boat in storage for the winter and all good. Pull boat out this spring and the noise is back, bearings NFG AGAIN, WTF! Hubs had water in them and bearings rusted and pitted. I know how to repack bearings and how to set the spindle nuts torque, used high end grease, New seals etc, I'm stumped! Any recommendations on grease? That's the only thing I can think of, thoughts?
  20. AWESOME! I love reading magazines, keep 'em coming!
  21. What do the handle dings on skis look like from the new RADAR handle?
  22. Had both, ACL on one knee and PCL on the other, figured I'd need the brace for H2O as it was a huge help for snow skiing and MX. I quickly realized that I didn't need the brace in the water. Can't tell you why just didn't seem to do anything.
  23. Jenny LeBaw, she set up a custom program for me with links to her demoing each exercise. I noticed a difference after day 1. I still use some of the moves in my daily workouts, she is AWESOME!
  24. I developed golfers elbow after 4 days in Orlando at the end of a long Canadian winter, obviously I over did it. I tried acupuncture, chiro, the bands, gels etc. but nothing helped. It eventually went away on its own but it hurt like hell and had me pretty freaked out! Hopefully it'll just go away, be patient.
