@Than_Bogan‌ all the options posted by others are good choices. It just depends where you are staying, meeting location(s) and how much time you have. We are 7 miles upriver of the airport. Mornings and evenings are smooth unless it is windy which we are getting better at predicting. We have no course. Let us know if you want to grab a rip!

I'd measure mine for you but data would be useless as I don't know the proper way to measure, etc.

@ntx. Thanks, that's what I thought but there is a price listed which appears to be different than the other promo guys who say they can't advertise price. Might as well get a new one without a trailer....

Anyone can find out the true purchase price of a new PS and it's not MSRP. The real question is what is the value/price of a low hour PS promo? If you have or are going to have a low hour PS promo, I am accepting reverse auction bids (pm me with your best offer).

What does everyone prefer for bunk covers? We just have carpet on our lift. Is there something better that doesn't trap moisture, etc?

Has anyone had an issue with the frame of the windshield blocking your field of vision? My wife noticed this while sitting in the new PS. She did not have this issue when sitting in the 200. I didn't sit in either of them at the boat show because she drives and I ski ha.

Thanks @horton & @richarddoane. The Wa State INT schedule isn't published yet but most likely would be just fine to start with. I have skied a course before but it has been a long time. I should have written "no event experience". Thank you to those of you who sent PM's. This is one example of what a new participant has to figure out before they can sign up. Thanks BOS!

So along with all of the chatter about existing and new rules and getting new competitors involved, what is a better event to enter for a complete newbie? The USA website has almost too much info to confuse a newbie and the website probably needs a complete overhaul (IMO). The grassroots type F looks to be a good place to start and there appears to be many events to attend in our area. Would this be a good option for a 40 yr old? All the pictures are of little kids that will probably kick my a**. INT has a much better website that as a newbie, I can understand. Oregon isn't currently active but Wa State is and it's many of the same places for USA so location doesn't appear to matter much. So which format/sanctioning body is better for the beginner. I'm looking just for slalom and have no course experience and little understanding of all rules/by laws, etc. Which format gets the most water time and friendly instruction about all things one needs to know? Which will be a better long term solution to start with if I end up doing for many years to come?

@wayne it is usually 15' but can change +/- depending on the season. 2.5' is not enough. Some of the other suggestions would work better for your use.
