  1. if I didnt have a job I would hop on this! lol
  2. @S1Pitts we do have them in stock here at Performance Ski and Surf.
  3. @Broussard on the team, there are only two who are not in the US, Rabbit, and Robert. Josh just left the US to go home, so i guess you can say 3. I have not really watched many events this year other than my personal friends, Did Jacinta come jump in any of them?(this is a legit question, if she did not I am not trying to be sarcastic) I know its hard to get into AUS, but pretty easy to get into the US, I know she has been doing her weightlifting pretty serious. At the end of the day for a pro if this is the job they can make it work. However quite a few pros left the sport to go after other endeavors over the years, so I would not be surprised if in a few years people are doing other things. Just my .02
  4. of the top athletes in our sport...How many do not live in the US 90% of the year / are currently here? Im sure some are over seas, but I would say the majority do live in the US, I cannot speak for Juniors @Luzz because I would assume thats pretty split. Who was unable to make it to the masters that year, does anyone know?
  5. We have foam buoys on our courses as "subs" but they have been under water for 5+ years now...and Im 100% if I drive to our lake and dive down they will be the same as the day they were installed, just will have a bit of algae on them! (they sit at 15-25 Feet Down depending on where on the lake, and which course ( 6 ball / and two 4 ball courses )
  6. Those were the days when the pros would ski on fully custom skis, instead of the stock models, I cant tell you how many times I sat in our garage and had to hold carbon down with my finger while my dad used resin. only to hate it and have to start over. hence the famous dumpster picture of all the old skis lol
  7. I just need one more ski to complete my collection, its the one that had the dampener on the front of my dads skis, he hated that thing, but Im pretty sure it is the only one Im missing. I would love to go back to when I skiied, I had a sixam that was all white with just the undergraphic instead of red and black it was pink and yellow, not sure why but I would spend a fortune to get that one back
  8. Ive been in waterskiing my whole life, Ive seen Radar Start, and ive sold skis for the past 12+ years as well, based on the pictures that looks pretty standard for a ski that is handcrafted, and has been used for 5 years. However, my advice would be reach out to the company instead of bashing them online, or if go through the pro shop that you bought the ski to see if they can help you reach out to them. Just my .02
  9. @9400 I agree I have pulled quite a few people into / through 41, and it really comes down to knowing the skiier IMO, pulling my Dad, Nate, CP and Jeff through 41 each is a totally different pull, knowing when to be ready for the pull was the biggest challenge the first few times I pulled my dad into 41 pretty sure i took off a few boat gates, after a few years, I was confident pull anyone in it.
  10. I think the Mandatory 14 day Hotel Quarantine will stop all the US skiers, not enough money made to spend all that time over there, plus flights are not the cheapest last time I checked. Which is a shame, as it is one of my favorite events.
  11. If you want to give me a call here at the shop when you are ready to look into a new ski I would love to help, you can ask for me, or anyone in the shop is more than willing and able to help as well.
  12. D3 does really good including those in the each ski, but most companies, if you dont have a card like that may have a record via serial number.
  13. I know the feather frame boots are only meant to fit on the Radar Skis, but have not run into them not fitting maybe @brooks might have some insight for you.
  14. are you allowing people to use impact vests? or requiring CGA vests only? I know the cable parks around our shop just switched to CGA only, its getting harder and harder to find places allowing Non CGA vests.
  15. The $100 for one set, is no coaching? Seems it a bit high, even the highest coaching I have seen was my dad, charged 120, 6-10 passes with all coaching. That being said, glad to see something like this getting started! Best of luck to you! Also, just a question, if someone who has never done it before, does not have gear are you letting them rent any gear or anything?
  16. for open water, he will want the 71 in the senate or the omni, being tall changes his center of gravity. while he can ski on a 68-69 more than likely with no problem, his lower back will start to hurt sooner. With his height he is up over the ski enough to make it turn. also nothing wrong with skiing at 75' teaches better rope control, My dad used to make people free ski at 75 to prove they didn't have the line control that they thought they had. He used to free ski on rough days to work on it all the time when I was growing up @Clydesdale
  17. Camera gear / Foils / and enough beer to stock most bars for a weekend!
  18. I second Princenton, did a clinic there a few years ago, amazing lake and set up, and im sure more has popped up around it since I was in town.
  19. @swbca 8" if you are really going to be setting / adjusting fins, most fins will run longer that 6" even if just slightly.
  20. Back in the day OWC had the slalom course, and a jump on the big cable..I did see a few people go off the jump, and I did the course years ago, sadly it did not stay long as kids tried to hit the jump on wakeboards.
  21. I would love to hear a physics explanation on this. All I have ever heard was its easier on the elbows, but from my own years of skiing, and watching my parents they never used them. But I did, and I never noticed a difference, if anyone has a "Physics explanation" please tag me in it, always looking to learn new things!
  22. Once my Dad got to his late 40s he really didn't lift much weight, a lot of body weight, and anyone who knows him biking. (2-300miles a week) but he was a big believer in body weight work outs at the end, and did seem to work for him, and helped him with his back. Early Career however he was basically a power lifter who skied.
  23. sorry to necro an old thread, but had a customer call today trying to sell a Wally burr ski, and he mentioned he revolutionized water skiing more than anyone else. I am not familiar with the name, but mabye a baller can give me cliff notes on that / what it was he did that revolutionized water skiing so much
  24. Hey jack, I might have a few personal ones, I will check in my garage tonight for you!
  25. glad to know im not the only one with more than 5+ Calipers...between myself and what my dad left me I might have closer to 20, and most are duplicates of others lol.
