  1. My daughter is a dancer, had a partial tear of the plantar fascia, major scar tissue and fasciitis now. Been 2 years of serious treatments and pain for her, she is 13, casts, orthotics, braces, taping, the works, 99% of the problem is the calf muscles being too tight and the fascia gives up to that. Deep tissue massage on the calves an feet will help tremendously, my daughter has also had 3 injections done under radiography to help pinpoint the problem and reduce the chance of rupture, with exceptional results. When we are at the RMT I can hear the scar tissue breaking and popping in her foot, she takes it like a champ. Aircast makes a really good brace that has helped a bit also.
  2. Ski more, quit playing head games with myself and just ski. I tend to vision the pass I want to make, then I start thinking about all the things I need to work on and things I don't want to do, then it usually all falls apart. Most of the time the days I don't really feel like skiing and don't think, I ski best.
  3. There are about 5 of those down each rib on either side, looks like someone took a ball peen hammer and hit it. Insurance is taking care of those, it's the hairline cracks on the deck I want to do myself
  4. @Mark_Matis I think we will be lucky to get one good one, it's down in the river valley so the wind shouldn't play into it too much. I'm not going to push for islands, thinking like 1950ft long, I'm just hoping they look at the big picture for the community potential, and possibly tournament revenues. Be nice to see our tax dollars kick back a little in a different way, instead of atv trails and bicycle road races. (You'd understand if you lived here)
  5. So I have recently caught wind that the county I live in is going to be spending some money in parks and rec next year, which includes repurposing a large gravel pit along a river, which is very typical of a ski site here in Alberta (predator). A friend of mine and myself are looking to put forward a proposal to have them make a ski site. Just wondering what ideas anyone would have to help us intrigue the board members.

I have looked at a few plans online for dimensions and whatnot, I know what is needed that way and what I vision, do any of the online designs stand out more then the other to anyone? The county has money to burn literally, but I think simple is better to start.

If this doesn't pan out, I won't be hugely disappointed as I have recently discovered and gained access to what would be my own little honey hole 20 min from my front door. With winter sneaking up rapidly and my boat suffering severe trauma in recent weather the setup on it will have to wait till spring.

  6. @oldjeep I guess sometimes there is an exception to the rule, my work truck is pretty nasty also, but here in Alberta where it rains 8 days a week and snows 8 months a year a guys detail bill can get pretty high, my boat on the other hand also you could eat off the seats of it
  7. I've shopped for as long as 8 months for a vehicle at times. Take a look at more then just the boat, have a glance at the tow vehicle and how the guy keeps his garage things like that will tell you how he/she keeps up on things. Never get in a hurry and trust that you will know within minutes if it's what you want and how it's been taken care of. If someone is shady about a lake test, walk away.
  8. Had my daughter ski with Breanne Dodd 2 weeks ago and all they did was wake crossing drills just like @BrennanKMN mentioned. Just outside the whitewash, no further, hips up/handle down as the crossing gets stronger move out farther and repeat. What an amazing difference I saw in her skiing in only 3 sets of coaching. Breanne actually did the same drills before running a 32 and 35 pass for the girls riding in the boat.
