  1. Thanks to all! Since I only pull the boat to our lake about 8 miles away, I think I will check all of the bearings by jacking the trailer up and see how they spin and sound. I will grease them and hope for the best. If I need to replace one, so be it. Since it is a tandem I am not going to replace them all as a preventative measure. That is indeed a lot of beer money.
  2. So, I have a 2004 Ramlin tandem trailer and I squirt grease into the bearings a couple times each summer. I would assume at some point I should have a professional re-pack the bearings. True? If so, what should I have the mechanic do? Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

  3. Last summer I just got the boat home after a great session and was emptying the gear to put back in the garage. You know the boilerplate on the trailer just ahead of the fender? The edge can be a bit sharp and in my usual haste my foot slipped off but the bottom of my big toe caught that plate just right. Blood everywhere. Told the wife it is only a scratch and she said that is way more than a scratch...so did my daughter in law who is a nurse at the local ER. Nine stitches later and no skiing for two weeks.
  4. I have been doing this for years on my 2004 SN. But is it really necessary? The more I think about it, what little oil is sprayed in the cylinder only lays on a small portion of the piston and cylinder wall. I do fog the engine while it is running and and sucking in the anti freeze. Thoughts?

    Cheers.

  5. Great company. Great skis and great customer support. I was asking about RADAR stickers on this forum a while back and today I received a packet of stickers from RADAR. My new tow vehicle is now sporting a very nice RADAR sticker. To whomever saw my post from RADAR on this site, THANK YOU! And thanks to @Horton for hosting this site.
  6. So, I took one to the ribs the other day. Nasty crash into the wake. I have been using a non-coast guard approved light slalom vest for years. I love it but it ended up curled on my shoulders. You get the picture. So today I got out an old HO large HO vest with two buckles and a zipper. NOT EVEN CLOSE to fitting. No comments please @AJskier. Plus I figured more flotation would help with my deep waters since I am an older skier. Anyway, my wife snickered and suggested it may have shrunk. It is pretty old (like me) and I am thinking maybe it did. Really. I checked my chest measurement and still about the same. I am thinking of ordering a new CG approved vest but worried about size. Do they shrink? Be nice Ballers.

    Cheers.

  7. Just purchased a new tow vehicle and of course gotta have some stickers, right? Where can I find the small, white Nautique stickers? I looked at the Nautique website with no luck. Also, I did order the Radar buoy sticker but that may not look all that great on a back window. I see Radar has the large RADAR sticker but a bit too large. I had one on my old vehicle and my wife thought was a bit over the top so off it came. Any thoughts? Cheers.
  8. One last transmission fluid question. I am very picky when it comes to changing the oil. Every 30 hours. Tranny fluid not so much. Been a couple years. So I ordered the pump @Oldjeep suggested and it works great, but I only got maybe a pint out of the transmission. My manual says 2 Quarts! Excalibur 330. Have I been that bad? Am I not getting the tube down all the way? Dipstick shows nothing. Help please.
