So...I am going to order a new Senate Lithium when they become available. It was going to be a 67" since that is all I have ever used over the years but in an earlier post @eddie_roberts_jr suggested that at my age, weight, speed, etc., that I might want to consider a 69" That is a great tip and I thank @eddie_roberts_jr. It got me thinking that a 69" might me the way to go. I will keep this ski for a few years so I don't want to make a mistake. I weigh 184 pounds, 67 years old, ski either 30 mph or 32 mph and stay in the 15 to 28 off range. Any thought will be greatly appreciated.

I am 67 and have been having a bit of trouble with deep waters and will never go 34 mph. Thanks again. I will order as soon as they are out.

Thanks @eddie_roberts_jr THAT is a VERY good tip. Thanks again.

Thanks @eddie_roberts_jr I am currently skiing an HO Superlite CX. I like it but I had my heart set on a Senate but waited too long. 32 mph, 15 to 22 off. Maybe a few at 28. 182 pounds. 67" right?

@eddie_roberts_jr I could not get my hands on a 2017. Sold out. 2018's soon?

Just curious. Do most of you drop at the end of every pass and rest or go for the workout and spin at least at one end? Spinning at one end decreases the deep water starts and builds endurance but can also cause rollers. Like I said...just wondering.

Thanks to all. @dvskier same boat. Best ever.

I have been changing oil in my boats since 1987 and still question the exact amount the engine holds with new filer. Once and for all...what is it?
Thanks to all.

Put-in-Bay is the Key West of the Midwest. Family friendly...at times. Not liver friendly.
-
Wow...a south wind. And rain, rain, rain. Seventeen years at "The Pond" and this has been the worst. Just about ready to take up wind surfing or scuba diving. Or drinking at Put-in-Bay.

Ouch...did not think about the boat guides. I did contact Ramlin and the tire to tire width of the trailer for the 200 is 100 inches and my doors are 108 inches. Looks like I am good to go. Thanks to all.
-
Thanks @BlueSki. That path is pretty tight.
-
Hello @A_B My place has 9' doors. Could be tight. And yes, I have backed my 196 in many times quickly as storms chased us from the "The Pond"
-
Just curious. What is the trailer width (Ramlin) for the 200? So much talk about the beam, but what about the trailer? Most single garage doors are 105 inches.

Thanks to all. No longer an issue. There are no Senate Lithiums available anyway. I am going to keep working with my CX. It is a great ski. I guess I am never satisfied. I know, I know...I should work on my form and worry less about what ski I am on.

Need some input here. I just took delivery of a new HO Superlite CX. I had my heart set on a Senate Lithium but my local shop is no longer a Radar dealer. So far I really like the ski but being a skier in my mid sixties my research has shown that the Senate Lithium is a breeze for deep water starts and skis very well. As good or better than the Superlite. Am I being too picky? I ski at 32mph and rarely run 28. I could put the HO on SIA and move to the Senate if it would make my ski life just a bit easier. Any thoughts? Much appreciated

Thanks to all and @Horton for this great site.

My son would like to try a D3 Nomad I have. It is a 67" and he is about 180. What would be the default measurement for the front boot? Appreciate any suggestions. By the way, blown out again today by a west wind in Northern Ohio. Not the best conditions this season.
-
Thanks to all. I just received a new ski. HO Superlite CX. A bit wider. That should help a bit. I need to keep that knee to my chest as stated above. @ajskier...we will do that.

OK, not on my death bed quite yet but at 67 I am pretty set in my slalom ways. I have always done my deep waters dragging one leg but I find lately that I seem to be having more issues. Being pulled out the front and stressing my hamstring being one of many. My two sons have always tried to convince me to switch to both feet in. They can't imagine dragging one. I tried both feet in a few times and it just seemed impossible...and I have been skiing close to 50 years. Should I try to change? Any advice will be appreciated.
-
@Jordan...I think it is a good time for me to replace the switch. Will the one you found on Amazon work in a 2004 SN 196? Thanks in advance.

Here in Sandusky, Ohio nothing but wind. It has either been cold and out of the north or hot (like today) and blowing like crazy out of the west. Went out this morning and whitecaps around 5 and 6. New ski, HO Superlite CX, and have not been able to dial it it yet. Always bumpy.
-
It is a 2004 SN 196. I'll try adding a little grease and see if that helps. The jack is a Dutton - Liaison. Thanks to all. Course goes in Friday.
67 inch or 69 inch?
