Pulling our course Friday. Ready for the skinny skis.

Trying to find a 2017 67" Senate Lithium is not working out. Nada on Ski it Again and no luck at any of the dealers. Any ideas?
-
@Skirvind I just checked nautiqueparts and they have the round bezel. Thanks for the tip.
-
Wow, I appreciate all the suggestions. I'm will not fabricate to the extent that @BraceMaker went to, very impressive. First I will check nautique parts like @Skirvind suggests and if that doesn't pan out I will go with @Booze. Thanks.

I just put a new Clarion radio in my 2004 SN 196. Works great but the remote control that is currently in the boat will not work so I can get a new remote control but it will not fit in the current dashboard configuration. The new remote(not purchased yet is a 3 inch circular device. I am going to have to somehow fabricate a mount unless there is some kind of adapter out there. I would love some ideas from the knowledgeable folks on the forum.

Got mine ordered from Performance Ski and Surf. Just need some warmer weather on Ohio's Northcoast. Brrrr. Where are those dog days of Summer?
-
Thanks for the update @ColeGiacopuzzi for the update. I talked to Nathan at Performance last week and my order has was submitted..

@C5Quest Well done.

Availability of 2018? @C5Quest where did you find a 2017? I have been looking for one since mid July.
-
Thanks for sharing @Horton. Cannot wait for the new Senate Lithium.

Thanks @MattP and @LeonL

What is the top speed for all ages. Having trouble finding that info in the rule book.
Thanks.

Thanks to all. Delo it is.

I was looking at my manual last night and the only spec I saw was 15w-40 SJ. (2004 SN 196 Excaliber) So SJ is no longer available? But SN will be OK?
-
Sorry if I am starting a new thread on this topic. A couple months ago it seemed that using 15w-40 Rotella was a bad idea. Over the life of my 2004 SN Excaliber I never paid attention to detailed specs, I just always used 15w-40. Some years it may have been Valvoline, some years Rotella. As long as it was 15w-40, that is what I used. So what is the final verdict on this topic. I am about ready for an oil change. Any insight will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks, I spoke with Nathan yesterday and will call again today and place my order.

Thanks @shansen345

Since I missed out this summer, I plan on ordering one from Performance Ski and Surf tomorrow. I did mention to Nathan at PSS that I appreciate their support of BOS. Any buzz on looks and features?

Can the new Senate Lithium be far behind?
-
Thanks for the info @aupatking. Looks like I'll be ordering a 69".
-
I will definitely go with his advice, and I really appreciate that advice. But I am relatively new here and am not aware who Eddie Jr. is. Is he a RADAR rep? AWSA official? He certainly has great insight. Thanks to all.
-
Congrats. I really love this site. I have passed the word.
-
Thanks @escmanaze I am leaning toward the 69" even though that worries me a bit. But from all of the comments, that might be the way to go. Looks like they won't be available for a few weeks. My days running 34 mph are over. Can't wait to see what the new Senate Lithiums look like.

Yes, probably a 67 but I have a friend who is 70 and weighs 185 and skis into 32 off at 32 mph and he is on a 69" Senate Graphite. If you think you are not going to go beyond 32 mph you may want to consider a 69" Senate. If you think you are going to possibly go 34 you may want to just get a 67.
Above is the info that @eddie_roberts_jr posted to me. It seems to make sense. A slightly bigger Senate may be the way to go. I just don't want to purchase it and find out I should have stayed with a 67".
