  1. Boot is in stock position. So is fin and wing. I know I have to stop looking at the ball but after years of making the same mistake that habit is hard to break.
  2. Been skiing for about 40 years (ouch) and have never really corrected this problem. Been through many skis and just got a Senate Lithium this year and my skiing is better....but. Obviously a left foot forward but it is time I correct this problem. Any ideas out there? Fin set-up? Binding placement? Technique? Cheers. Tom
  3. Thanks to all. @oldjeep thanks for the pix. Gonna be hot here this weekend. It is about time.
  4. I am sure this has been discussed over and over. I just need the latest info. I have a 2004 SN Limited. What is the proper Trans fluid to use? The engine is the Excaliber. Cheers. Tom
  5. @Fatroll That is VERY interesting. How do they power the aerators? Our lake has no power. We are going to look into this.
  6. A jump box is a great idea. Yes, I do turn off the master switch. And about the radio, that (pardon the pun) sounds good. When not skiing at our lake, we often times hang out in Sandusky Bay at a sand bar. Thanks @oldjeep Radio blasting, beers flowing. Thanks to all.
  7. Thanks to all. Question answered. Another quick question. How long do most of you feel comfortable playing the radio without running the engine? Just curious.
  8. After all these years (5 Nautiques) I still don't quite understand this gauge. I plead ignorance. So, we here in the north sometimes in the Spring or Fall are forced to have the boat set for a week or two between sessions. So as not to be disappointed when I get to the lake, I will throw the charger on it. Do I need to do this? If I check the gauge, what should it read so it will start the boat? Cheers. Tom
  9. Eurasian Milfoil. Weeds do suck.
  10. Thoughts on our situation please? We are a small club in Northern Ohio that have been together for about 18 years. Our pond is about 7 feet deep, the owner is great, about 20 acres, and we love it. The first few years we've had a professional only treat the course and a channel to it. Fairly expensive but not too bad. The last few years they have treated the entire lake with Sonar. It has worked great but VERY expensive. The land owner will not permit white amurs or dyeing the water. I have no complaints with the company we are using (Aqua Doc) out of Cleveland, they have been great but are there any other companies in our area? Or, any ideas at all? Cheers. 11. I should know this but no. Any idea what a 2004 SN 196 and Ramlin tandem trailer weigh? Thanks. Tom
  12. That's what I figured. I always change it in the fall. @Fast351 I like your comment that it sits in a bottle anyway. Funny. @Ajskier You are correct sir!
  13. Sooo. Some say even though I put new oil in last fall when I winterized I should change it again in the Spring. I normally wait 25 hours. Thoughts? Cheers. Tom
  14. I have always had great luck with the F-150's. Never a problem. That being said, the Jeep idea is toast. Besides, I like sitting on the tailgate drinking beers after a session at our lake.
  15. Thanks to all. That pretty much settles it. I'll stick with the F-150. I knew I would get some great info. Cheers. Tom
  16. My lease is about up on my fourth F-150 and they have been outstanding trucks to tow our 2004 SN with a tandem trailer. I have always wanted a jeep to tool around with but was concerned that it would not work to tow the boat. Now that I don't see any long distance trips towing, I'm thinking a Wrangler with enough horsepower will be OK since we only tow the boat 10 miles to our lake. Any experiences or thoughts? Cheers. Tom
  17. I know, I know, this has been discussed many times but I need a new perspective. So much knowledge on this forum so it is time to tap into it. Getting the 2004 196 out of storage soon. What have you guys found out to be the best cleaner and sealer for the seats? Mine have become a tad dull over the years. Need some thoughts for the new season from the folks who in the know. Cheers. Tom
  18. I was just contacted by RADAR and stickers are on the way. Great customer support. Thanks @eddie_roberts_jr for the info. Also thanks to Maddie and Ashley at RADAR. Can't wait for Spring to try the new ski.
  19. Just bought a Senate Lithium and would like to find a sticker/decal for my tow vehicle window. RADAR does not have any on their website. Any ideas where to find some? Thanks for any info.
